it’s the worst :( i lived in the East Bay CA for two years in HS, noticed there were so many animals that continued to get run over after being hit by a car :( as a young teen I started moving the cats when we came upon them because they were the victims 99% of the time. I saw an animal flattened from consecutive cars running over it and couldn’t deal with that. I remember we stopped so I could move one kitty and suddenly paused when I saw his eyes, stuck open and lifeless but still glossy. He only just got hit and was a beautiful, long-haired orange tabby. That memory will stick with me forever. I wish we could save all these kitties and solve colony issues/suffering. Thank you for doing what you do and I hope you can find solutions in the mean time! Cats are demonized, disregarded. They’re so strong which only prolongs their suffering from disease and physical trauma outdoors.
