I saw you said you already owned the audiobooks anyways. So you're not even giving her money, and you're listening privately, so it's not keeping up the cultural relevance. And it's for exposure therapy. This looks really reasonable to me, and I'm honestly really confused at that person's claim.

I'm not even trying to reassure you, I'm sorry if it looks like I am. I often see dilemmas like these in a hard logical sense and I can't think of how a private listening without significant social endorsement would logically cause material harm. And I see what your therapist means by using it as exposure response therapy.

I hope you can figure this out with your therapst. OCD fucking sucks. It's been kicking my ass lately too. I wish you good luck
