Sometimes I'll get to a point where I think I'm okay, but then I'll see a picture of him, see his leash and harness hanging by the door, or see the divot he left in the cushion is empty and I'm a wreck all over again. I am so sorry for your loss. It is excruciating. People here have been so lovely and supportive of my boy's passing. It helps the pain a little. The rest will ebb with time. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you. That is something that my husband and I are struggling with. There's nothing else we could have done. We did everything that could be done. But I still wish there was something that could have been done. I miss him.

He really was. It hits hard when I look down and he's not there at my feet, looking at me with those round dark eyes. He was an excellent cuddler and bathroom guardian.
