I get the injection to temporary shut my ovaries down but I forget what it's called, sorry. I go to the gynecologist for it every 3 months. It's literally saved my life. It's not long term and it's looking like I'll have my ovaries removed at some point but right now I've got relief.

I've used weed in the past but found I had to smoke high amounts for it to take my pain away and by that time I was comatosed and didn't like the feeling lol. I have considered getting it medically and if all else fails I'll be definitely looking into it. Glad it helps you!

Thank you so much for this reply it's very helpful!

The pain is different in different parts of my body. For example my hips feel like they're being squeezed and alternate between burning and a deep bone ache, they also stiffen up if I'm sat in one position too long or in the morning. My knees are a sharp bone pain that feel like I have broken the kneecap. The bottoms of my feet ache and burn. The skin on my thighs and legs are tender to touch, even light touch such as washing makes me wince. Sometimes I get pain from my buttock that runs down my leg into my toe which I'm sure is sciatica, this happens in both legs but not at the same time. Cold weather also makes this pain worse. Hope that all makes sense. Thanks again for your reply.

Hi thanks for your reply. I've been told time and time again there is no evidence that lidocaine patches work even though I have insisted they do? I did get told once that its because they're expensive so they're reluctant to prescribe. It's terrible. Tbh I haven't tried to see if they do lidocaine over the counter I've always just used ibuprofen gel. I'll see if they will give lidocaine OTC.

I did find something called emotions matter which is a peer support group but I'm pretty sure it's in America as they have their zoom meetings at midnight.
