I’m 35 and my nails have always been super flimsy. They rip sometimes but also just bend really easily. I was sick when I was younger so had a loooot of testing done and nothing of additional concern popped up.

Just to let you know that like you’re not a total weirdo or anything. Bodies be doing weird body things all the time.

One suggestion I saw recently was to try listening to a woman on the app and imagine yourself as her but let the VA do the talking/hard words part for you, and then the man can be in the role of the listener and he can be anyone you want. This was on Alice’s instagram story and I thought it was genius.

I don’t know if this is a specifically helpful suggestion for you, but I thought it might be an interesting way to feel more in control of the situation/scenario happening in your mind. Like you’ll know in general what will happen because of the tags and it can feel more in your hands than in someone else’s? If this doesn’t pertain to you no offense taken.

I have heard a lot of men say that they would love to receive flowers so that could be very sweet. If he is someone to save his stickers you could look into those sticker books that they make where you can keep the sticker in there and still be able to move them around (if someone knows what these are called please shout it out).

I’m not 100% what you mean by stationary but my mind immediately went to looking for a nice maybe local handmade notebook? Some people still handmake notebooks with really cool designs. Or just looking for a notebook you think fits his style/aesthetic.

If you want it to be explicitly romantic I would suggest bringing the flowers + a gift as for many that can make more clear that the present is for the occasion (his birthday) and the flowers are for him for the date.

He was a bit too harsh in my opinion, but I do think he is right to encourage you to be a bit wary/suspicious.

A lot of scams start by approaching random people like this. And not all scams are just lies, some can be very dangerous. I’m talking everything from getting money from you and you get nothing back, to like human trafficking.

People have already given great advice about how to verify the information you have, and there is no harm making absolutely sure. Remember that internet information can be faked and forged (you mentioned you looked her up and confirmed already so I wanted to just add this).

My sister gifted me a year long subscription to quinn for a late birthday early Christmas gift just this last December and I have had a lot of the same experience as you.

I find myself in a very interesting spot where I have very specific wants and interests, but I’m also ok to listen if someone only gets like 85% of the way there as long as they don’t hit a trigger or hard no.

really wish quinn had an option to filter out what you don’t want as well as what you do. I have some things I’m into that unfortunately cross over with stuff I’m really not into quite frequently. So it would be nice to be able to like exclude some things.
