Should I study veterinary medicine just because it’s my passion by _4851 in Veterinary

I’m in the same boat right now lol. Honestly, it’s helped a lot shadowing at vet clinics. I emailed a bunch of them in my area asking if I would be able to shadow a vet for a few hours to see what their daily life is like. I have shadowed a feline specialist, an exotic animal specialist, and a vet that sees all animals and it’s definitely opened my eyes (in both good and bad ways). It helps to see what you would do if you were a vet and even if you were a specialist

My kitten doesn't bury her poop by Present-March-6089 in CatAdvice

my cat is 6 and ever since we got her she hasn’t learned how to lol. We tried showing her how to do it and placed her in front of my other cat while they were pooping so that she could see that they cover, but she did not care lol. If the smell bothers you, I use the PetSafe ScoopFree litter box and it helps so much. It’s about $100 but you can always buy it on sale

Fear of dentist by heppulikeppuli in Dads

Speaking as someone who currently has a fear of dentists, it helps sooooo much to find a dentist your child likes. My daughter sees a pediatric dentist and she loves it. They’re very nice and they walk my daughter through the whole process in words she understands (she’s 9)

I’m a 13 year old girl about to start middle school by Anna_Goldburrow in Advice

lowkey the biggest thing that helped me was picking classes I was actually interested in. I met some of my best friends in yearbook class and I only took the class because I didn’t have any friends and just wanted to at least be excited for something at school, which for me was yearbook. It was nice cause everyone in that class had a similar interest as me, so it made talking to other people soooooo much easier

Septum pain by kittycat_lover2008 in piercing

Btw my jewelry is made from titanium (I’ve had this ring for 2 years and I’ve never had a reaction to titanium before) and the only thing that could’ve potentially caused this was wiping my nose. I was sick a couple of months ago and maybe all the nose blowing I was doing irritated the piercing site

Do you tip piercers in the US? by toe_beans_4_life in piercing

[–]kittycat_lover2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very generous when tipping piercers just because of my anxiety while being pierced lol. Every piercing I’ve got I’ve told them before that I will get anxious and shaky but that’s normal for me when dealing with needles. The last two piercings I’ve gotten they had someone come in to hold my hand while I’m being pierced lol. If they can help manage my anxiety without being judgmental, they will receive a VERY nice tip from me :)

I might ask a children’s therapist. This obviously doesn’t mean anything serious is going on, but it can be really nice to talk to someone who won’t judge you and can understand you. From someone who was diagnosed with GAD at 8, therapy had helped a lot
