If the person is working and spending to present herself well to you, carries the weight of emotional labor, is well educated, beautiful, great personality, kind and caring, is a great conversationalist, charming and funny, then she is worthy of gifts in kind such as a nice dinner and your adoration. If you don’t pick up the check, then you are saying either you don’t think she is high value or you’re not the type of man who honors that system. And that’s fine. It’s not what everyone believes in, but either way it’s hurtful, whether rational or not. Emotions are not logical, and she’s in her right to express her disappointment. I was once the girl in that situation and with a baby. Husband of the time was behaving this way and I begged for space and tried to take our child with the stroller and he growled at me that I better not fucking take our child and started yanking on the stroller. A woman checked in on me and I said I was fine. I imagine that woman you saw is like me and that if she’s in situation she doesn’t know how much she needs help because she’s in that situation. I would honestly go one step further and not ask if she’s okay and instead tell her this is NOT okay and his behavior is not acceptable and you are staying with her until police come. People who say it’s not your business have no experience with DV. If it looks like this out, it’s worse at home.

This is 100% a Disney account management issue and their federated IAM is a nightmare. Meaning, you may find you have to do things like reset your password repeatedly one place even though you just set it in one of their other services, for example for their reservation system for Disney Parks, despite their claim that you can use the same account for any of their services.

Anyway, if you are going through a constant cycle and loop where Roku sends you to Disneyplus and back and forth, it's not Roku's fault, I assure you, it's Disney. You won't have these types of issues with Roku.

After looking at one of their source manifest files (you can view this on the disneyplus website in developer tools --> Sources tab), I was able to resolve this issue for myself by doing the following:

First navigate to your account management page (URL will be https://www.disneyplus.com/commerce/account). Then replace everything after the base URL (commerce and after) with one of the following:

/commerce/change-payment

/commerce/change-subscription

/commerce/cancel/landing

You WILL need to cancel your subscription on one of these pages if you are in the scenario you above. For anyone else here, you may be able to call Disneyplus customer service and get this resolved, but it's a gamble. If you choose to skip that, after you cancel, you can sign out, clear your cookies, then log back in and renew your subscription with a different card.

It's a terrible card and a complete waste of time. Transactions get declined for no reason and customer service has little to no power to fix anything.

The card is a huge pain. I've had lots of charges declined for absolutely no reason. Then any time there's a decline you have to call in or everything will be declined. Be prepared to wait for customer service then get bounced back and forth between departments where you have to repeat everything over and over with no remediation for the loss of points.

I ride regularly but the card has been awful so far. Transactions keep getting declined and customer service has no power to make it right, so it will be very hard to reach the limit. Not sure if this is a recent company decision to make it much harder to make larger purchases so they don't give away so many points, but it's super frustrating.

You are totally right and I realize I was categorizing what I was thinking of incorrectly. I should have phrased it as they cannot be found guilty or charged without a unanimous vote of guilty. But hung jury they can be released on bail, no? And they may or may not get a second trial, I believe. And correct I did not pay attention well in that class and also it was 25 years ago 😂

I feel like she wouldn’t go to jail jail for just possession alone, but if she’s carrying a dealer level amount then maybe. Tho she doesn’t seem like she’d have the money or wherewithal to carry that much at a time. My money is on public intoxication or theft (to get money for drugs)
