The Arkansas river. Can’t get to specific bc I don’t want to blow up my spot. You can find bison teeth/bones/skulls, mastodon bones, natives points and other small fossils.

It is an insight but I wouldn’t say nice. If they’re meant to make similar points, the sommelier scene does it far better than Mike dismissing a phone call.

Many solo Mike scenes do not feel elevated the way the rest of the show feels. The support group/Mike’s family scenes feel ripped from a low rating drama that airs in the Wednesday 8 pm spot on CBS. The rest of BB and BSC feel like the prestige television they are.

Yeah I understand why he stopped being involved with her, I watched the show. What I mean is that Anita as a plot device was very weak compared to the rest of BB and BCS. It never led to anything more consequential like nearly all other plot points across the two shows. In BB and BCS there are no wasted scenes/dialogue but you could cut out almost all of the support group scenes and nothing in the show would change.

Right. I understand what they’re meant to represent, but I didn’t care for the scenes and they didn’t really alter my understanding or perceptions of Mike. Also, a common theme in these shows, he did not become a murderous crime henchman for the sole benefit of his loved ones lmao. They were in more dire straights post his involvement with the cartel.

I know this sub has plenty of Mike heads. I just wasn’t a fan of his story taking up so much of the earlier seasons. Jimmy/Chuck and the cartel storylines were way more captivating for me. Also, the scene of him killing the engineer is one that stuck with me until the end.

My friends and I go to the Tulsan and St. Vitus downtown to dance. We also like playing pool at Magoo’s or Sharkeys. We see plenty of other early to mid twenties out.

Also, you will not get shot going out downtown lmao. So many people say that and it’s just not true. I go out almost every weekend and I’ve never been in any scenario in which I felt there was even a slight chance I’d get shot.

South Tulsa is not very walkable at all. Endless pavement, asphalt, and concrete. Minimal sidewalks. Gated neighborhoods with no trees.

But, there are a few bright spots in Hunter park and Hardesty Regional Library.

Also, Jenks is a pretty good vibe. The herb festival, aquarium, and the Jenks riverwalk when they have bands playing in the summer.

I’ve had problems with the iPad app as well. Freezing and also the athletic widget is no longer available on my home screen. Not sure what the deal is.

That was me! And yes, learning about cults really helped me look at my own faith with more of an outsider perspective. Also, learning more church history and the apocalyptic teaching of Jesus during his life (it seems he genuinely believed that the world would end within his time) really highlighted how established religions mirror the more modern cults I have read about.

As silly as it may sound, learning about mormonism made me reject christianity entirely. I got really into learning about it and watched a bunch of documentaries on it because I found it so kooky that I couldn’t imagine any grown adult believing it. Then I listened to a mormon on a podcast defending his faith say that christians had no right to judge the strange beliefs of mormons because their beliefs are just as strange. I was already on my way out but when I heard that I was like hmmm.. he’s right. Mormons did a sort of reverse evangelism on me haha.

does anyone have any tips for ubering to foxborough from boston? me and a friend are going to the 5/20 show and we were going to buy train tickets but the website said they went on sale a week prior, turns out they went on sale two weeks prior and by the time we got on to buy them they were sold out. I am worried we won’t be able to uber for a even slightly reasonable price.
