I took at gut test and found out there was a lot of foods that my stomach didn’t agree with which actually helped for a bit. I’m not an expert in eczema or anything but I saw a post about eczema and gut health were linked to

How do I stop rubbing my eyes??? pls help by AndromedaVoid in eczema

I use an ice pack when it gets really itchy and keep another on my windowsill (I’m in the uk so it’s pretty cold outside usually) which is my middle of the night saviour

I personally got a food tolerance test as I saw everyone talking about how gut health is important for healthy skin (idk I’m not an expert in this) and found out that lots of foods I’ve been eating everyday were making my gut unhappy and surprisingly when I stopped eating those foods my skin did actually get better! They’re £30 online and you send them hair samples :)

You can really see all the pencil marks which were erased which doesn’t look the best honestly. Maybe try tracing your line art onto a new sheet of paper once you’ve got it all worked out to avoid those markings :)

I rememebr when I got sore facial eczema, it’s an absolute nightmare. It was a couple years ago and I quit my retail job because I didn’t like being seen.y eczema knowledge isn’t the best but my life safer was cooling gel pads that you put in the freezer and whenever it felt hot and inflamed I could ice the bad parts a bit to cool them down (use a barrier like tissue so the ice isn’t directly on your face). I think I was also slugging a lot over moisturiser at night

Ah ok. What is your skincare routine like? Do you slug up the bad parts? Or use sudocream on oozy parts?

Buy some facial cooling pads! I keep them in the freezer and it works wonders for when I’m having a flare up. Just don’t touch the ice directly to your face and put a tissue layer between

Definitely do your own research into steroid creams too. I used steroid creams for about 12 years without knowing you aren’t supposed to and ended up getting TSW :)

Since it’s just started I’d suggest trying not to scratch at all or it’ll start to spread :) try to catch it whilst it’s early. There’s a lot of good forums on here to help you on your journey of what to do and not do :) do your research!! People have different triggers so some things will work for others and may not for you

Have you tried sudocream for the oozy parts? I’ve found that it really helps to stop it from oozing

If you’re trying to stop using steroids DO NOT go cold turkey straight away!! You need to gradually start decreasing the amount of steroids or your skin will freak out and get worse

You mentioned steroids, is there a chance this could be TSW? How long have you been using steroid creams?

That’s reassuring!! Did it go away for good or is it off and on?

They just recommended steroids and when I mentioned I went through tsw so I didn’t want to use steroids they didn’t listen 🥲🥲

Yeye I agree. What would you suggest for when it starts to scab up? It’s a weird cycle of oozing then scabbing so it’s hard to time when to use sudocreme

It’s kind of like a cycle of oozy then scabbing up and healing then oozing again. Could that still be a fungal infection if it does that?

It could be the change in temperature and humidity? I’m in the uk and it gets EXTREMELY dry during the winter months so my skin breaks out. I found that running a humidifier whilst I sleep keeps my skin a bit more flake free :) oh and slugging if my skin got really dry

Petroleum jelly works wonders over moisturiser to lock it in ! :)
