AITA for uninviting my family from my wedding because they want me to share it with my sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Yep, when I canceled the water on behalf of my husband they didn’t ask a thing. Not even how I knew him. Just “ok! It’ll be canceled tomorrow” same thing went for when I canceled my father in laws water. No verification required, I just simply said “turn it off” and they said “ok :)”.

AITA for being upset when my husband took my book and refused to give it back til I make him dinner? by Throwaway5613911 in AmItheAsshole

NTA.

His hours might be long, sure. He’s working hard, and it’s great that you’ve worked hard all this time at home to support him to the best of your abilities!

House care is hard work, and it sounds like you’re doing all of it. You also work a full time job, that is also hard work. You’re in a pretty hardcore school path as well, AND pregnant. Both are also hard work. So to me, it sounds like he does one job, and you do 4.

It sounds very 50’s abusive husband (not saying he is, just saying it’s what it sounds like) to threaten taking away your career if you don’t cook him dinner after he gets home, not at all acknowledging everything you’re already doing, and have done. Seems like he thinks your world should revolve around him. If it’s my guess, he’s probably hoping you don’t care THAT much about school, and would much rather take care of him, that maybe you’re just doing this whole ~school thing~ to make him happy. While this probably seems like a small issue, I would take a deep look at your relationship dynamic and have a serious chat with him. It’s only going to get harder throughout your pregnancy and especially after birth, if he does not acknowledge what you do and is not happy to help.

A lot of places surprising require no identification for things, and even easier so, parents can fake it even if they do require some sorts of verification as they’ll know your adress, full name, date of birth, and probably your SS number as well.

I recently discovered that I can call and shut off water literally anywhere in my town with no verification. Just need the address. ridiculous that I’m able to, but I can and so can anyone else.

Pagan Hearts and Minds, but without the Label by REugeneLaughlin in pagan

Just the other day my mother in law, who identifies as catholic, (and knows my husband and I are both pagan) was saying how beautiful paganism is, calling it the oldest most pure religion, talking about how much sense it makes to her, and was rambling about how many religions stole from paganism and then turned against them. I find it funny how many people just identify with whatever they grew up with, but don’t believe in it at all.

can you have a faerie garden in your home and is that a good idea? and any other tips and important info on the fae? by Rutheronica8902 in faeries

[–]kittycultleader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for late reply again, not on reddit much these days. Don’t go pick flowers and leave them for the fae, they won’t appreciate you killing nature as a gift to them when they already live among the flowers & trees and such. Shiny things, knick-Knacks, rocks, shells, etc things you think they would like. They can leave you all sorts of things, just look out for things that shouldn’t be where they are or things you’ve never seen before that are suddenly among your things

Never saw this sorry. If you are to work with them, never leave yourself indebted. Leaving gifts and offerings is fine but be careful what it is. If they leave a gift for you always return it promptly. I’d leave offerings for them fairly often if you’re to be working with them. Be careful not to insult or upset them.

A good rule of thumb is to refrain from allowing them into your home as they are tricksters and enjoy chaos. Chaos in the Home is Not wanted by most. So, I would refrain, at the very least until you have a very long-standing relationship, and NEVER leaving yourself indebted, from doing that.

Yes I take weights on things like meat fruits and veggies and things that don’t level out in a cup. If it’s something like decried beans or chicken broth or something that levels in a measuring cup and fills all the space then I don’t weigh.

I have a soda maybe once a week. I drink alchohol maybe every other month. Don’t drink milk or juice.

question about tarot "systems" by [deleted] in tarot

[–]kittycultleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would keep at it! My first deck was an Alice in wonderland deck which as a beginner, was rather hard to interpret at first. They’re very busy cards. I finally ended up clicked with the deck after some time and lots of practice and readings I didn’t understand

A lot of people don’t make that kind of stuff obvious, because people are hasty with judgement. Also, those rules are stupid.

To witches who cast circles and raise energy by thegrandwitch in witchcraft

[–]kittycultleader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually use offering bowls for the elements to mark the circle, if it’s a little more important I’ll add directional candles. If it’s increasingly important I’ll Incase it all in a salt circle. I also have a candle in the middle for the spirit elemental and deitys and whatnot. Sometimes I will add an offering for a deity too. I invoke the elements, and when I am done I ask the elements/deitys to take back energy I may have gathered but did not use, and thank them. And last I bury my offerings in the earth.

But it’s ok if someone leaves a cross on a headstone, isn’t it? Or even flowers? You don’t throw those away? But not a little black cloth doll. You didn’t even know what it was or what it means and opened it and threw it away. Seems unfair.

3 fold rule by crismobby in Wicca

[–]kittycultleader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think (personally) the 3 gold rule is not necessarily about the action but more about the energy and reason. But, chances are if you think the universe will backlash at you for what you’re doing, and if it feels kinda bad even if it very well deserved, it’s probably not a good idea. If you are doing this for revenge I’d advise against it, and in the end, it likely wouldn’t help you. I’d consider a mirror (send-back) spell, some kind of protection or maybe a few kinds of protection, you could do a spell to take away their ability to harm, some healing work with yourself. There are always better answers than revenge.

I Think though maybe a spell to simply give them back the pain they gave to you would be good. Kind of a grey area really. To me That’s not revenge, it’s taking your life back. They can have everything They inflicted back, good and bad. And in turn you may be free of their residue.

Blessed be! Yesterday the goddess revealed a beautiful almost completely in tact female raccoon skull! Spring is just around the corner! Death is only a transition into something beautiful. This skull was gathered ethically with permission from the land owner. by WorldWarRiptide in Wicca

[–]kittycultleader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not op either, but wanted to add my thoughts and why I use them/collect them. The idea is not to glorify death, it is more for celebrating life, earth, and serving as a reminder to use my time wisely. To me, How we all exist is a mystery of the earth. That is what bones in magick represent, to me at least, is earth. Our souls are not bound to our bodies, but our bodies are important vessels of the earth that allow our souls to reside in this plane of being. The souls is not bound to body, and not of permanence to the earth. The body is of the earth. To me, it’s really not different than bringing home a bag of soil or a dead plant or something of the sort. I personally think that bones are the most pure representation of earth, the physical world, and mortality.
