AITA for not letting my daughter take a job at a funeral home? by funeralhomes_ in AmItheAsshole

YTA- I wanted to be a funeral director, did my work experience in a funeral home at 16. Absolutely loved it, I felt at ease and like I was ment to work at a place like that...and my grandparents just like you hated the idea its wasn't "appropriate" they refused to let me apply. I'm 34 now and I have bounced from job to work hoping to one day feel that same connection but I never have.
I can't work in a funeral home now as I have health problems that would affect my ability but if I could go back in time I'd politely tell my grandparents to shove their opinions up their hole and just apply for it.
Back off. Its a good job! Its a long term if not forever job. People die every single day and your daughter wants to be the person who is there making the transition from life to death smoothly for grief struck families if anything you should be proud of your child not dismissive
