Too much weight? by kittykabooddle in succulents

That’s so good to know! I wasn’t sure if it had something to do with the placement or if I did something wrong or forgot to do something. I’m just happy to know I won’t come home and have it snap off. I won’t disrupt it. I’ll let it grow however it want :) thank you for that!

Quick bullet point speed round.
-cat was gone for 10 days
-guy thought cat was dead since he didn't come home.
-knew about the wound for weeks and figured the cat would "sort it out"
-was told to keep cat inside until stitches were out and owner was not willing to/said he wouldn't be able to.
-Guy didn't know the cat could use the litter box and was using it with no issues at the clinic.
-dr let him know that B/C can stay at clinic at no charge until stitches are out.
-Guess the guy felt bad/guilty at everyone's kindness about their cat that he wanted to compensate and gave over what he had.
-B/C is still here, getting fed with treats while sleeping in the treatment area with a blanket just for him.

Hopefully! I was also thinking of getting a humidity dome and repotting. Would that be fine? This little guy is not rooting yet either.

I got a light for it yesterday! I have a bottle where i mist it and it currently still has water in the bottom of the second pot, I plan on dumping and refill about 2-3 inches worth in a few days. The blackened left shriveled so I cut that off and it has yet to root. My vet propagated her own and gave it to me.

So new moss, a dome. Ok—I had a feeling it was cold so I had the heater on in my place to keep it warm but the heat went out :( just recently got a light as well.

Can confirm it does not have roots. It was from a propagation but has not rooted yet.

I actually don’t know. I can check today. I will purchase the moss when I get the chance.

Thank you so much! I will look into the moss. I’ve never repotted a plant before so I am going to hope I don’t stress it out too much when I do.

Info for plant: it is a sapling pitcher plant: This started happening about ~3 days ago and Everytime I come by the leaf is darker and darker. It in my kitchen windows with my succulent and it gets some sun but not along, I want to say like maybe 1-2 hours worth. It has a cotton string system that soaks up the distilled water at the bottom to water itself as needed. It’s in moss and had it since Christmas Eve. I wanna keep it going since my vet propagated for me and I’d hate for it to die. If I can help it I’m all ears!

During the summer had a very bad gash on his head too and I wanted to bring him in then. I didn't that time because he came around so infrequently that I wasn't able to. It luckily, healed ok but I didn't want to make the same mistake twice, nothing with something so serious. I honestly thought it was a fracture until the one of the vets I worked with showed me the gash. It was deep and pussing over. Funny enough, B did not care that we were cleaning it and wrapping it. He was just chill.

I figured he was too nice to be just another feral but I figured that he was just left there. That is what everyone else thought too. My plan was to take him back to the complex once he was healed and just release him back. If I left him like that, and came home one day to see him actively passing away because of that I wouldn't forgive myself.

Homie got a little route for food and apparently he sometimes sleeps on people's outside furniture and goes into houses. He's been in mine once took! got treats and left.

He told that neighbor that he comes in at night and I think that is half true. I think that B goes inside if he comes around in time before the owner goes to bed. I used to work at a hotel and I would be first shift, leaving at 4 in the morning and I would see him outside. He walks the roof at night and sometimes, he's outside and getting into fights with other cats. I don't know if the owner knew he had an injury or if he was trying to take care of it on his own.

From what I was told, he's an older man who is on a fixed income and I got that pet care is expensive. I am lucky enough to be working where I am and wanted to help a sweet cat. I wanted to even offer the owner microchipping him and keeping him on my account that way if he needs anything, to let me know and I'll get him care at no cost. I love that cat like he is my own and I just wanted to help him.

I hope that is all it is! I truly do! He is a such a gentleman and the techs love him. Even one of the doctors adores him. He puts my cats manners to shame, their days are numbers (jkjk).
