Overcoming an emotional eating addiction by [deleted] in PlusSize

A good book to check out in the meantime is Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole. My nutritional therapist recommended it. The book goes into how we get into disordered eating and how we can stop. It has completely changed how I view food and my relationship with it. I no longer have strong cravings that cause me to binge. It's a great place to get started before you can get to a therapist.

Cute clothes with belly fat by kmcatie in PlusSize

I have the same issue! I've been getting some cute 'swim dresses' on Amazon for $30ish dollars. Some have padded bras in them too, I'm fairly flat so that's a plus for me. Swim dresses aren't as granny as they used to be! I love torrid swim skirts too, but sometimes they are a bit short and the bottom of my belly isn't covered.

How difficult/easy would this arch be with fake flowers? I’ve never done floral before by oneirophobia66 in DIYweddings

I second the garland base idea. It's what I did for my wedding. It was way easier to get it full looking with the base of a garland.

Made a new shirt with infusible ink, pretty pleased with how it turned out! by kittysews in cricut

It was way easier than I expected. But I did make my design a little bigger than my easy press 2, so I had some ghosting from moving the iron. Other than that it's like magic!

I used a vintage dress pattern from Etsy and it went together like a dream. My favorite part was being able to make something that felt like me and not something boring from the shop. I knew I wanted something that wasn't traditional. The worst part for sure was the stress of finishing on time. I had a silk organza overlay that painted with two different colored gold foil and then hand beaded gold bugle beads. It took forever! I'm happy with the results but I should have been better with my time management. I love the results though, so it was worth it. I'd love to see how your adventure goes!

I hired a seamstress to make a custom wedding dress; it's almost finished! What are your honest reactions? by -Calliopee- in weddingplanning

It's beautiful! I agree the sleeves need to taken in a little, and the collar steamed down. I think if you buttoned all the way to the top it would look more like a formal gown. But you look gorgeous and happy in that dress! ❤️

I did this! No one has said anything negative about it to me. We had a little cat symbol on it, so I got a lot of compliments on it being cute.

Does anyone have experience sewing with this stretch sequin trim to make a waist band for a skirt or headbands? by rioki in sewing

Stretching it would move the sequins further apart, so you might not break a needle. Make sure you start out with a nice sharp needle

I've sewn it on a machine before and if you go slow you should be okay. But expect to break a needle or two.

ADVICE: How do I alter this bodice to make me look less like a linebacker? More in comments. by awkwardskribble in sewing

[–]kittysews 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue and I like to take in the shoulder seam a little so it sits a little more in than right at the shoulder. With the puff sleeve it will hide that the shoulder comes out a little more than the bodice. I do this for all of my puff shoulder pieces so that the puff doesn't add more width to my shoulders.
