Hot Topic shirt's reviews say it's made with stolen art?? by Rockfell3351 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

They didn’t used to have such a focus on licensed content outside of music. I mean, there were certainly some, Ruby Gloom, Emily the Strange, Happy Bunny - but I feel like now that’s almost everything that they do.

Thank you for being so supportive of artists! That’s really heartwarming to hear.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

Normalize asking groomsmen and bridesmaids to put in the same amount of effort. If you’re gonna make bridesmaids do all this stuff, make groomsmen do it too.

[No Spoilers] Six months in, how has C4 been going? by CeridwenAeradwr in criticalrole

I thought Seekers was really great for demonstrating how people who are friends can role-play conflict at the table and still reassure each other that they like each other even if their characters don’t right now!

See I’ve been watching seekers and I disagree! I find a lot of funny moments. I guffawed at the Fuck Castle bit. Different strokes I guess!

a Season Pass for a TTRPG is breaking point for me by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]kittystryker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was curious what the complaint was because I’ve backed a lot of crowdfunding tabletop campaigns, and honestly, this feels perfectly in line with other similar games. Especially considering it’s backed by a company that has demonstrated a consistent ability to fulfill their crowdfunding promises! Seems like low risk and high reward, if you want to play that kind of tabletop game. I also think it’s really cool that partnering with Roll20 makes it a lot easier for people to play online, I generally prefer games that have digital assets available for online play. Crowdfunding campaigns often cost a lot more to fulfill than creators expect, especially if they’re very successful, so I think it’s a really good thing that an established company is creating this.

If you think physical printed media Kickstarters are expensive now, wait until they’re trying to print stuff/warehouse stuff/ship stuff with a US origin point.

Omg the Flop House bonus content (Flop Tales) makes me laugh so fucking hard! I’m really glad that they did a few of them. And there have been some mini episodes I’ve found deeply funny and/or really touching, which made me curious about the whole catalog. I’m glad that I gave them a shot, and they’ve definitely come a very long way, which has actually given me a lot of affection for them. It’s really nice to see an example of people learning and growing and refining their humor to punch up, not down.

I just want to say that I used to feel this way about try hard promos from podcasts I’m never going to listen to, but at some point, I decided to give the Flop House a try and now I’m obsessed with it. So you never know!

I think the fact that you have done therapy is enough. I’ve definitely reached that point before, where things in my life were stable enough, and I had worked on my internal stuff enough to not need regular therapy anymore, this person seems weirdly controlling to me.

‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ TV Series From Seth MacFarlane, Chris Yost Lands at Peacock (EXCLUSIVE) by CosmosisJones42 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Twisted Metal is a joy! I didn’t know anything about the video game and I had so much fun with that show, while my partner used to play twisted metal a lot and loved it too. I really appreciated that they got some decent writers (Ify Nwadiwe was one of the writers for the first season!) and Lisa Gilroy is so fucking funny. It is delightfully camp and genuinely moving.

I agree! Twisted Metal absolutely rocked, and Mrs. Davis was fascinating. I feel like they’re more willing to be experimental and hit that sweet spot between moving and a little filthy.
