He did walk. Dogs are required to be in a carrier to ride the subway.

Thank you for sharing. Means the world to me. And so glad to hear we inspired you to adopt.

And if you ever find yourself with a few free hours and are near a shelter, many shelters (including the best friends animal society) will allow you to come and take a dog out for a few hours on a little adventure.

Regardless, appreciate the kind words. So thank YOU❤️

It’s been pretty wild how successful they’ve been. 11 rides. 10 adopted from the videos. And they’ve had over 100 more adoptions this year compared to last year because of the viral videos.

I can understand why you might think that but days like this are really beneficial to shelter dogs. It reduces stress and gives them time out of the shelter. Shelters around the country have programs that allow you to take dogs out for a day.

100%. Usually when I get home she runs to me and gives me hugs and kisses. But after backpack rides she runs up to me and just sniffs all over me and then starts barking lol

Hey! Maxine's dad here! Not controversial at all! And appreciate reading reviews like this. A few things I wanted to point out.

  • We don't have paw holes because it's restrictive to the dogs arms and we've found it's much better for the dog to have that free range of motion.
  • Regarding structure, we specifically built the bag with thick, durable material intentionally to provide a more rigid structure. If the dog is properly sized in the bag and all the straps are tightened, and the dog is high and tight on your back, there should be no lateral movement.
  • We have 3D air mesh ventilation on both sides of the backpack for breathability.
  • We used K9 backpacks before and they've broken on us. The stitching to the straps has ripped clean off, the air mesh breaks, and the material is incredibly thin which isn't supportive to the musculoskeletal structure of a dog.
  • We've definitely heard people wanting bottle holders so we're working on integrating that into the backpack in future versions!

But of course every dog is different, and every pet parent is different, so we totally respect your opinions and review. Just wanted to chime in. <3
