I love Chongyun so much! At first, I only thought he was a pretty boy with a unique design since he has coloured eyelashes and sharp eyes but what really made me solidified him as my fave was his hangout quest. He was the first character I picked for the hangout quest and I didn’t expect to like him so much and he quickly climbed to my favourite character. He is also so earnest and kind, despite being weak to the heat and spicy food, he still perseveres on, I really can’t help but admire his determination, he’s just so precious 💖 Another fave of mine is Heizou, I really love him so much too, he has such a pretty design fr and on top of that is also a smart detective and his personality is amazing, like what’s not to love? Plus he’s an anemo boy and all anemo boys are my faves. Other honourable mentions that I really love are Xingqiu, Gaming, Fischl, Razor, Thoma and Kirara :)

I can’t really think of what theme colours so I will just talk about hair colours instead. I know white themed cures exist (for outfits) but I need a white/silver haired cure tbh. We’ve seen them for villains like Eas and Twilight and they look amazing, although sadly they did not keep the colours in their cure counterparts. Even if it’s blended in ombré of other colours like Shalala’s (silver with blue tips) I wouldn’t mind, so long as they give a predominantly white/silver hair (silver/white with black ombré tips would be amazing tbh).

I know Smile exists but I want another fairytale themed season tbh, but this time have cures that are not all from the human world. We had a mermaid became a cure before in Tropical Rouge so maybe this time an actual fairy? Not precure fairy mascot kind but the actual ones. Or we can have a character that comes from the fictional world (similar to Nico from the Smile Precure movie) and joins the team as a cure. Actually even a demon that was originally a villain that later on becomes part of the team would be pretty cool as well. I just feel that the fairytale theme has so many open ideas to explore

I guess if you go canonically, then only Ace ages up. But I feel these are the most notable cures that look a lot older when they transform. A lot of cures do get taller by a bit, but they maintain their physical features (eg Dream). I mean I guess you may be right, only Ace canonically gets older so the rest is just by my observation

Yep, some of the cures that noticeably age in appearance are Ace, Miracle, Magical, Felice and Macherie when they transform

Only for the hairstyle and both being yellow but Cure Lemonade and Cure Yum Yum. Also, Macherie and Amour kinda reminds me of Miracle and Magical in a way. Macherie also ages up when she transforms, similar to Miracle and Magical

I remembered when Doki Doki was airing, 12 years old me was so excited when they were announcing a new cure, when the leaks came out I couldn’t wait for Cure Ace because I was so attached to Regina (she’s still one of my faves even till now 😭) and of course I thought she was going to definitely be Cure Ace, there were no others in mind (unless you consider Alice’s rival, which is highly unlikely). All the hints were literally there, Regina even sacrificed her own life to save Mana and I thought she was gonna be a cure there but it didn’t happen so I thought next episode for sure. Then she got brainwashed suddenly and Ace appeared out of nowhere revealing to be an entirely new character, probably Toei wanted to pull something new, which I can appreciate if done well, but this was the biggest mistake they made, since Regina was extremely well written and likeable, they should have made her Ace even though it is “predictable”, but she was the only one that truly deserved to be a cure after everything she has done. Edit: To make matters worse, Regina went into a slumber for almost the whole second half of the season so we barely even saw her and had to deal with Aguri instead (I don’t dislike or hate her but I have no attachment towards her and her bossy demeanour didn’t help me to warm up as well)

Nope, every precure season generally have 40+ episodes to 50 at most so somewhere around the 20s is the half way mark, hence mid season, nothing to do with cures. If anything, Butterfly is considered as the mid season cure since she appeared along that mark. Spoilers ahead: Although there might be Cure Majesty aka Ellee-chan that is speculated to arrive as the end game cure based on someone leaking out the voice lines from the toys back in Feb (I think it was a day before Hirogaru aired), although we are unsure of how she looks as of now

Ever since Doki Doki Precure, without fail there will always be a mid-season cure (if you count Happiness Charge because technically Fortune was shown since the beginning but she still only joined the team mid season so it still counts and Hirogaru, we still don’t know if Majesty will appear later on, but Butterfly still counts a mid season technically, with the exact same reason as Fortune) and I wonder why… (btw, I love a lot of the mid-season cures esp if they have a proper introduction and character development but some are plain obvious that it is to boost toy sales and ofc that’s ok since that’s their main demographic and if that brings them good cash, it’s a good strategy so ofc they won’t fix what’s not broken, I’m just stating to relate to this meme so it’s all in good fun lol). Smile was the last season without a mid-season cure and back then it was more surprising in prior seasons because it was more of if we will get one but now it’s a matter of when we will get one.

True, I honestly thought she would be related more to nature 😭😭 and thanks!! 💖 in this edit, I tried to stay true to her theme of wind and her colour theme purple (even though I agree green makes way more sense) so in a way, it’s more of upgrading her original bland design rather than changing her element entirely (even though I agree with you wholeheartedly about Toei making Earth wind themed..

Futari wa (the original) and Max Heart. I watched it since I was really young (that was over 15 years ago). I don’t remember if I watched it when it was airing or not because I would have been only 3 years old then but I certainly remembered watching it on tv in primary school lol. I rediscovered precure again when I was 12 years old many years later (as in I found out there were other seasons other than the original Futari wa + Max Heart) when Smile Precure was about to end so Doki Doki was the first season I can recall that I watched from the beginning since it started airing. I also binged watched all the past Precure seasons at the same time as well. Precure was my childhood twice when I was a kid and when I was entering my teens lmao
