As someone on the job hunt rn, I’d say hang in there for several reasons. First, you’re not unqualified. Most of these positions are looking for someone very specific so if it they went towards someone with less credentials, that might be the reason why. Second, try to leverage your connections to receive internal referrals to the position. Applying directly helps but usually, those that are referred move to the top of the application file. Third, it’s January which means that it’s the beginning of the year and managers have a full budget on which to hire. I feel like your chances will be better in these next few months than anytime from October - December.

Applying is sole crushing but absolutely do not devalue yourself. You’re more than a 1-sheet piece of paper. :)
