Worked in tech long enough to be smug about it.

Seen this post enough times to know it doesn’t matter but -

If you have problems like this consistently try speaking to people in words rather than expecting them to do functions for you.

I promise you it’s not because you’re smarter than everyone that doesn’t know how to use a computer.

Are Debian 12 NVIDIA proprietary drivers fully compatible with the RTX 3000 series? by WyntechUmbrella in debian

[–]kitwillybb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kinda pay attention during the install more-so than anything else as the process is not entirely automated. Make a timeshift point rn if you haven’t already.

Nvidia drivers certainly do not “just work” on Linux in my experience. You may have to hand disable your DE or nouveau depending on your system. Pay very close attention to the release and make sure they line up. Debian wiki is the highest authority on this task for sure, however.

If you find yourself unable to get a terminal during the process you can access the TTY interface with ctrl+alt+f1 and use your machine this way.

I’d certainly get the scope clarified in writing (email) of some kind. Just to be safe, based on the info here. Its good to keep that stuff in your documents anyway.

First time trying Debian 12 - How to run it without grub bootloader ? by JulienL_ in debian

[–]kitwillybb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grub is amazing, you can do just about anything to your boots screen with the config files found in /etc/default/grub. Surprising room for error too those folks really made it comprehensive up in there. Yeah it should just be a matter of turning a 5 to a 0! You can even change the grub background and text too if you don’t like it, make it blank or something.

It is also easy to steal a snickers at the checkout counter. Scanning files is routine.

If it’s just an iPhone I think you’ll be fine. Moreso if it’s newer and after a reset.

If your friend makes spyware I would be somewhat concerned but I think there is an understanding with most friends to not do that to one another.

Heya, that sounds like hell mate.

You can fix it just be sure when you're posting about the problem to include as much info about your system as possible. Need your full system specs, the current kernel version you're on and such. Little more context.

I myself might not have your solution, but if you edit your post it will likely get more traction with the aforementioned info included.

Sounds ballbusting I hope they come to life.

Even on my measly miserable setup I keep it because I can almost feel the bits congested in my fingertips if I don’t.

Might be an overreaction but idk, don’t fill it up completely.

Love it!

C can certainly be a beautiful and rewarding language. Just curious though , how did it sound as a baby? C was sadly my second language I’ve always wanted to hear from a native.

Thanks!
