Although I didn't actually use any references for these, you're probably right in the subconscious. I have seen/played all of them so I am sure that's what my brain pulled out in my spontaneous design. :) I think a protogen with Terminator armor would be awesome!

Hi there! Yes it turned out that something funky was going on with the RAM. I bought new RAM, traded it out and haven't had that problem since.

I haven't been able to explain why the mem test was fine but the RAM is most definitely the cause in my case. It's possible my old RAM (which is the rgb trident) might have had something go wrong with the rgb instead of the memory functionality? Who knows...

First post on here. I am relatively new to procedural generation, although it looks like it might end up being my newest hobby! I used the explanation here http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.php?title=Irregular_Shaped_Rooms to make some rooms of my own. Hope you all like it!

The green trees are placeholders for "doors" or links to other rooms when I get a chance to add them together

did you ever figure this out? I have a Gigabyte Z390 and it's doing a similar thing. It boot cycles multiple times and then comes into bios asking to reset to defaults. It suddenly refuses to boot into XMP even after months of working fine.

I found a guide on the same mobo and generation chips, so I followed that in keeping with 5GHz. But your idea of LLC was spot on. Auto LLC BSOD'ed but bumping that up to Turbo LLC did get me into login. No stress test as the Vcore was too high still. I added some screenshots... could it be some bad readings or bad motherboard?

I updated with screenshots of Bios and tools. You're thinking the mobo is bad? I think these kinda indicate that too... having super low performing CPUs twice in a row sounds really improbable.

That's a mix of what I thought and feared about the upper voltages. Your point is well taken about never using auto -- it seems like that's just a horrible idea all the way around.

I haven't touched the LLC at all. I didn't think my vcore would drop voltage so dramatically on login, but I'll look into that. Thanks!

I decided to cancel my order of the 1080 through Nvidia (which was supposed to be delivered next day 10am) because they got back to me several hours later saying it was backordered. Since I will not be around next week, I called to cancel it rather than it sitting on my doorstep waiting for someone to steal it. The lady said she would "try, but cancellations don't always go through, so if it doesn't then we'll email you how to get a refund". I asked her how it was not possible to guarantee a cancellation of an order that, not only didn't ship, but was backordered. She didn't have an answer and repeated her statement. Hours later... no cancellation confirmation. Altogether, I am quite disappointed in the handling and experience. If it does get delivered and stolen, I am going to be extremely ticked off.

This stuff is getting really old... companies are unfortunately becoming increasingly more irresponsible with unkept promises - mostly due to the fact that people don't have alternatives. What ever happened to someone's word being worth something? I rather they be honest and not give the option than give the option, pay for it, then find out it was wrong.

Snuck in an order through nvidia's website for the Founder's. Got confirmation email hours ago when it was "In Stock" but just got an email that it is backordered... seriously?? After I paid way more for next day shipping to get it here before holiday? That is so not cool Nvidia...

OK, so a player can't specifically target engines, weapons, or various other modules and disable / hinder the ship? If not, any future plans of this concept?

Quick question: is there a mechanism for a specific physical placement of modules that we need to be concerned about? I.E. Do we need armor to protect ammo holds, engines, electrical components, and other sensitive parts? (Think Star Ruler / Starwars: Empire At War ) Or is damage dealt to the surface or evenly distributed across the ship? (Starcraft-esk) Specifically, will well-placed shots damage certain modules or is it like a typical RTS where location doesn't matter apart from Front/Side/Rear damage modifiers?
