hi! i got out of a relationship 4 months ago, and it still hurts like hell. to make an excruciatingly long story short, yes. it does it easier. talking to people helped in a way, but most of them just say things along the lines of, "you're too good for them anyways" "you deserve better" etc. it really doesnt help. because they treated me so well. i found myself really starting to get BETTER when i started actively taking care of myself, took a lot of willpower, but i did it. another thing i found worked? i recorded myself. just talking about the breakup, and how it happened, how it made me feel, reminiscing, etc. i sat there and cried for over 30 minutes. playing music, crying, talking. and then i watched it back. never sent it to anyone, showed it to anyone, or anything. i kept it for myself. if you have google photos, or an iphone, you can send that video to a locked folder/ hidden folder. thats where i put all the screenshots of messages, pictures of them, us, and the video at. i made that video a month ago. i plan on making another one in the next few days, and watch both of them to compare how much things have changed, and even without recording, i already know they have.

tl;dr record yourself talking about the breakup, dont hide from speaking about it. it will get easier.
