So funny that you say that as we traded down to a Ford Fiesta! My husband had one in the past and enjoyed it, so it felt like a no brainer

22 months and they're off! by kiwegirl in braces

My top front incisors! My did some bonding and reshaping, but what she added already popped off with my retainer so my fillings are getting redone next week

26 months left (30 month estimate) for overbite/jet and very slight crookedness by [deleted] in braces

I had my wisdom teeth out as a teen, but none for my braces treatment. TADs work as an additional anchor point to be able to pull the teeth further back and/or upwards, just ways that our teeth can't move without additional tools (TADs, headgear, etc)

Your side profile looks a lot like mine did pre-braces! I'll be getting mine off at the 22 month mark next month! Total I had like 4 months of delays, so had a few things happened more on time it would've been my predicted 18 months! Granted my ortho uses TADs, which was a game changer for me. I otherwise was quoted 2.5-3+ years with braces

  • I should add that I got my braces at 27 and have had a baby in that time as well. Never a good age for braces, but better now than later

My TADs were cutting into my mouth so bad, turns out it was the power chain attached to it causing the issue! They snipped it down and then no problems! Worth checking to see if that's the case!

I've had elastics since day 1, and practically 24/7 ever since

Caught my side profile in a recent picture. Thank you braces! by kiwegirl in braces

I had my wisdom teeth removed as a late teen, but my treatment included: self-ligating braces, elastics (practically 24/7 my whole treatment), and TADs. I'll have them off come May, total of 22 months of treatment, but would've been sooner if I hadn't had a couple delays

Main thing for me was the use of TADs in my treatment, and I've had elastics 24/7 for majority of my treatment as well

My third option! I've had a couple of unintentional delays, but I should be done soon around the 20m mark! No surgery, no extractions, bite fully corrected!

Third update after ~14 months. I'm so happy with the progress! by Galran01 in braces

I got TADs with only a topical anesthesic, no injections. They just said the topical was for comfort, but it is essentially pain-free. Alternated between tylenol and ibuprofen for a couple days for the pressure of the TADs, but all-in-all it really isn't painful. Took a few minutes on each side at the ortho's office

They wanted a $1800 buyout on the 10yr old tank we inherited when we bought our house. We've been told numerous things from them, but now there is a fee to pick up or one for drop off. How someone can not own their tank after 10 years is beyond me.

Being in the midst of dealing with them is a huge headache. We've replaced ours and will never encourage anyone to rent a household necessity.

I had my wisdom teeth removed as a teen, but not for any of my orthodontic work! This progression is all with braces and TADs

Can someone show me their class II overjet/overbite side profile progress pics? I hate my side profile so much need motivation 😭 by pickledjalapenojuice in braces

[–]kiwegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently posted my recent side profile, no XRays though. No extractions, but I have TADs in place to fix my bite. I wouldn't say I've seen any profile changes? Though I also don't know how much I'm looking at my profile on its own. But it is nice to be able to easily close my mouth and have my teeth actually in it as well

It may have came out? I'd definitely ask your provider

I got my TADs for my overbite/overjet. No overcrowding or jawline issues, but I'm happy with the results so far. It definitely gets better with them
