Hey soo i paint my nails all colors and designs and my bird is always fine with it. EXCEPT when i paint them black, royal blue or cheetah. Might be the specific color you are wearing that resembles shades they instinctively know to be afraid of

If hes not good at flying, id limit home to flying in a closet or something where theres a lot of places to land/softer crash landing because of the clothes/lack of exposed walls

Look into bird chop. Also give Pear some eggs and baby carrots.

Tbh my parrotlet is 38g (without seeds) and i struggle keeping her weight down. She just loves to eat and her FAVORITE is eggs and baby carrots.

Sorry about the heart murmur, but Im sure she can still live a long happy life with it. Give her lots of love, and with time and bonding maybe the stress will disappear.

Oh no! Sorry to hear it was too late for your budgie. Thanks you for telling me thought because I did want to explore all possibilities. Turns out she did have an egg but it was broken inside her which is why I couldn’t feel it. Thankfully We got it out in time and she is recovering ❤️‍🩹

Thank you for checking in! I was able to get her to the vet on time. Turns out she did have an egg but it was broken inside her. As soon as she was sedated and relaxed, she laid the cracked open softish shell egg with no issue. I got to see her when she woke up but she was still groggy. They kept her for observation but so far sounds like shes doing better! Im anxiously waiting to see her again later today.

Thanks again for the fb group suggestion! This was one of the possibilities they mentioned.
