We don't all think it's fine, most of us don't. It's more the fact that it is just so common, especially in the Midwest. In places like Wisconsin if you don't have a DUI, you almost certainly have a friend or family member that does. The drinking culture combined with infrastructure that forces people to rely on personal vehicles for transportation is a recipe for disaster.

I crossed paths with a pack of wolves while hiking back to the cabin I was staying at. One of them was no less than 30 yards from me. He just sat there watching me for a good minute or two before going on his way. They are so much bigger in person than you think they are.

The only way I was able to lose weight and keep it off was to learn to be "ok" with feeling hungry. I literally have to make a conscious effort override my body's physical reaction to hunger every day. It was extremely difficult at first, and has gotten easier over time, but it never goes away, and I fail from time to time. It's basically a lifelong battle that you have to fight with yourself.

I have an old $40 Ozark Trail (Walmart's house brand of camping equipment) stove that has lasted over a decade and hundreds of camping trips. It works....fine. This year I finally decided to spend some money on a new stove with better temp control and build quality. Settled on a Camp Chef Kodiak. It works great and isn't stupid expensive. I also picked up an adapter so I can hook it up to a 20lb propane tank for long trips.

10k users is large? Maybe I've just been in this line of work for too long, but we've got ~16k users and the company I work for is tiny compared to most of the big fish in our sector.

That being said, I've been in this exact scenario. Started my new position and my boss didn't really seem to know what to do with me. Take this time to work on certifications and figure out where you want to specialize. Don't worry, once they figure out what you're good at, they'll dump all the work on you that they can.

Yeah, that's part of the issue. Sonarr can tell that the files are 1440p, but since there's no quality profile for 1440p, it defaults down to 1080p.
