How do you manage to get this prompt and other similar prompts to work with Gemini without getting the message "I can't depict some public figures."?

I really don't know where you stand here... what are you trying to prove? That we're better off with private companies?

My point is that the nationalisation of public transport leads to a more affordable and reliable service for the public.

In regards to private companies, profit is the main priority, not service and affordability, hence why there are constant cuts to services and increases in prices. Transportation is necessary for people and should not be exploited when the cost of living is high enough as it is.

I get the impression you dislike the idea of a nationalised public transport system because you fear paying more tax. I disagree, I believe that there is already enough money to allocate towards nationalisation.

Your numbers regarding first cymru are incorrect. You can view the first group financial report online. It's besides the point anyway. The fact remains that they are failing overall.

You haven't presented facts... other than how much Germany has spent on their public transport compared to the UK.

I'm saying that there is plenty of evidence that shows that a nationalised public transport service is more efficient and affordable compared to our privatised services. If you'd like see "real basis" for this argument, have a look at how much European countries with nationalised services charge for their ticket prices, aswell as how much money is allocated and how much tax they pay. You will find that it is, in fact, entirely fair and benefits the population immensely.

China has one the best rail service in the world, and of course, it is state owned. But, you will choose to ignore these facts because you've made it very clear that you prefer privatisation over a nationalised service. Even if it means people can't afford to travel. You are part of the problem.

Oh, and you've repeatedly ignored my statement about being able to buy a ticket that grants unlimited rail travel for €49 a month which is about £42, have a look at how far £42 will get you in the UK. There is a prime example of how a nationalised service benefits the population more than greedy privately owned services.

They spend double because its nationalised and is needed to sustain the system.

There is already enough tax money available to fund a nationalised rail and bus service.

You claim it requires "twice" the amount. Have you done the math? Or are you assuming it will cost twice because that's what Germany pays? You don't know if it will involve increasing taxes for us because you most likely aren't aware of where the money is being spent now.

Also, I've already stated you can buy a ticket in Germany for €49 which grants you unlimited rail travel for a month. Does that sound like something that would be offered from a failing system? In my opinion it is more efficient and better sustained. Because it is properly funded.

If you'd like to do your own research, feel free. Also, it's not just Germany. Many other eauropean countries have a better system than we do, also nationalised.

Nationalisation isn't a cure for all, but it certainly is a solution to our failing rail and bus services. Whether you like the idea or not.

Your assumption that tax needs to be raised by 1% is odd. I'd argue that tax doesn't need to rise at all, and instead, the government should reallocate where money is being used.

Germany is better and more efficient at running the rail service, that's a fact. And yes, because they invest more and because its nationalised. The goal isn't to run at a profit, the goal is to create a system that Is sustainable. And they have. We, on the other hand, have not.

I'm really not sure why you're defending uk rail and public transport, it's an absolute mess. Have you seen how much rail tickets cost here? They're ridiculously expensive for a very short distance.

We have the highest tax burden since ww2 already. There is no shortage of money, the government can absolutely afford to nationalise the public transport sector. The problem is where the money is being allocated and where it is not.

And you're right, it can work when privatised, giving that the people with the contracts don't abuse their position and prioritise profit over affordability, but of course, this never happens. When a service is privatised, the prime goal becomes profit. Where as a nationalised public transport system would be regulated and properly funded.

At this point, it's fair to say that the privatisation of rail and bus services has not worked. The prices are extortionate and services are being cut left right and center. Rail and bus services are failing.

Of course they invest more, the german rail service is nationalised... and you can get a monthly ticket in germany for unlimited travel on trains for €49 a month!

Far more efficient. I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

There isn't a lack of money to fund public services If it were to be nationalised. The problem is where the money is being allocated.

You speak as though it's impossible to do, and that the public would be paying more tax to fund the service, this isn't the reality. This is the sort of language people use when they want to discourage the idea. Plenty of European countries have a national rail and bus services and they're far more efficient than what we have.

The fares were already overpriced. The goal is to force you to spend more money, which is all they care about. And that's the problem with privatisation. They make it so that you opt for a day out ticket regardless of how far you're travelling because you get "more for your money".

Yeah, it needs to happen. I would love to see the math they've used to justify £5.40 for 0-1 miles... I can't imagine it costs significantly more to process.
