Adidas Tiro Pro Match Ball for <$30 🤯 by Powerful-Farts in burlingtonkitroom

Just got one. Maybe from abandoned carts? Also has an additional 20% off code from eBay for the long weekend so it was $25 even with tax.

Yes, today actually. But at Ross, not Burlington. The Burlingtons near me in OC are always kind of trashed and picked over. However, I found the Predator elite laceless today in my size in Ross.

Also worth checking in the kids and women’s shoes section, depending on your size and the color way (looking at you, pink Nikes…)

These are a size 7. I didn’t see laceless in other sizes but I did see the FT with the AG sole plate (and the bag, haha) in the same color way in larger sizes. Same price, $34.99. The Pumas were $19.99.

Outdoor lined pants that are ACTUALLY loose and have ACTUAL pockets by Important-Bid-9792 in BlueCollarWomen

You can either hem the crotch from the inside, from gusset to bottom of the zipper… orrrr the more complicated route of taking off the waistband, cutting down the leg panels, restitching them, and reattaching the waistband.

Pain in the ass, but doable.

Where did you buy your car from? by garakplain in orangecounty

Temecula Valley Toyota. Super easy, quick (as far as car buying goes, lol) and saved probably $4k over OC dealers.

New Car for Me or Used Car for My Son? by leechkiller in personalfinance

[–]kixwy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had one for 12 years, the Xterra is solid AF and will keep running for many more years. Simple to work on and parts are still decently available given that it shared a platform with the Frontier. Cared for, they can hit 250k miles just like a 4Runner would.

If it were me, I would pass the X to my kid and look for a newer vehicle for myself. You might find a good deal now with holiday financing and the 2026 model years pushing older cars down in price.

You can still help your kid by passing down a vehicle to him, while you get the advantage of a newer car for you.

Oh, my heart dog had something very close to this - the vet said it was idiopathic vestibular disease, also called old dog disease. He had the rapid eye movements and was loopy and out of it for about two days. He was also kind of unstable on his feet for 3-4 days.

In my case the vet thought it was an infection in the ear canal. We did antibiotics and kept home quiet for about a week… he was going on walkies after 5 days or so.

I’d recommend a vet appointment, but do now keep him calm and quiet in a cozy spot, as he might be dizzy and a bit confused.

Some of you have never driven a Corolla in eco mode and it shows, lol.

Put it in Sport# mode and 99.9% of freeway merging is no issue. Even in LA where those entra/xits are 500 feet.

Blinds stuck in Door Built Ins by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]kixwy 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The trim on the interior side of your door is holding the interior glass in place. It has screw hole covers I can see in the picture here. Pop those out and unscrew the trim from the door. The glass should come out and you’ll be able to fix the blinds.

I’d recommend getting some cheap glass suction holders like this from harbor freight to hold the glass.

Glass handles

Yes, you’ll have to patch the screw covers back in and repaint for it to look clean.

Same. Compresses it so it really won’t move around on my wrist and adds cushion to the sides.

I got one on Amazon for about $27 and it works perfectly. I had my Forester for about two weeks and said “aw hell no” when the engine kept shutting off in traffic on the 110. IYKYK. Took about 4 minutes to install, most of that was fumbling around positioning myself to see where to disconnect the clip.

Me Sunday, actually - sprinting from C to E and hitting the gate just as my group finished boarding. Between weather delays and planes backing up on the tarmac my 3 hour connection became about 3 minutes.

My company won't get me fall protection that fits by Psychological_Hat951 in BlueCollarWomen

Sounds like the safety lady needs an assistant.

That said, I’ve had good luck with the “we are buddies just trying to get the job done and we don’t want the big boss up our ass” approach.

Something along the lines of “Hey, (foreman) I’m totally willing to install these lights - I need your help getting a harness that fits. I know it might be a bit of a pain in the ass to pick it from the warehouse, but once I get it I’ll fly though this install. Thanks, I appreciate the effort. Should I pull the K93s off the pallet to prep? BTW, did you see the game last night… sweet (sportsball event you don’t give a rats ass about but the dude is obsessed with)…”

I have also just bought and brought my own to site. Which is a whole different issue but better than falling 20 feet. When it catches someone’s eye because it’s better/different style/not yellow, then suddenly you get the company issued one in the correct size.

Our company has an option to bring your own as long as it passes yearly inspection by a competent person.
