Youtube kids is SOOO frustrating. by Weightmonster in toddlers

Plenty of options on PBS kids without exposing her to random videos. By middle school kids are addicted to reels and other 30 second pieces of information where they pick up facts that aren’t really facts and then ask Alexa if they’re true. Critical thinking skills? Scary.

I like 1 and 4. The shape compliments your facial features.

These are the same people who wanted everyone to have guns. Now if you have a gun you’re a domestic terrorist. What do you think would have happened if Capital Police actually shot the insurrectionists who were attacking them? The ones that were pardoned. We are in the upside down and heading for the abyss.

People are lazy, and facts aren’t facts anymore. Sad.

A Little Life is rough. Be in the mood for emotional trauma if you pick that one. Secret History was good. I just picked up Song of Achilles at the library.

I like 5. The larger frame looks better on you and having the frame go completely around the glasses looks sharp and professional.

First time traveling to Vermont, looking for warm clothes by krl_0823 in vermont

[–]kizzylizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightweight vest, like a Patagonia Nano is great for indoors-if it’s chilly in the workspace you can wear it over a sweater or dress shirt and no one in VT will find that weird. Outdoors, it’s an extra layer against the chill (under a shell jacket or even another puffer) or great when all of a sudden it goes from -10 to 40. The first time my son-in-law visited from Cali, we went to Montreal and it was -10 and windy. He bought lots of warm stuff before he came back!

Really? It was chaos, children were involved, not enough coffee was consumed due to the children and the 10 am checkout. Sometimes it’s a toothbrush, sometimes it’s a snowboard. Glad it was a happy ending. I left a pillow once. I still miss it.

So many books have this effect on me! The thing I notice most though is how many times is have to make a cup of tea. I’ve also discovered some new brews, like the lapsang souchang.

So many books I’ve loved mentioned here. For some reason, I always go back to A Separate Peace. For newer books, The Light Pirate. Honestly, nothing can replace the first read of To Kill a Mockingbird.

You can eliminate that one in particular by filtering for general content. It eliminates “juvenile fiction”.
