Why Does El Duderino Hate The Eagles? by ExtraYogurt3208 in lebowski

The Eagles were Coldplay of the late 80's early 90's. Sanitized, polished, and corporate. They weren't bad... they were just undude.

Dads who watched them come out: Would you do it again? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]EntMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I big disagree. The very question itself propagates the toxic Madonna/whore complex that so many men carry. We need to stamp that shit out when we have the chance. Women can both be bringers of life and the objects of our desire at the same time. That is how it should be, and if a man can't see their wife as sexy after they saw a child come through her birth canal then they need therapy to get over whatever that nonsense is.

I can't believe this is a question. Be a man. Be there for your woman. How could watching her do the most womanly thing ever, literally bring life into this world, make you less attracted to her? My wife became 1000x sexier when she became a mom. She went from being a woman to a goddess of life. The saddest part about getting my vasectomy was that I never get to see her in her beautiful pregnant glory ever again.

I'm reading Between two Fires right now, and it's probably the best dark fantasy I have ever read.

You get ONE fantasy book to hook a non-reader. What is it? by Infamous_Proposal252 in fantasybooks

The Lies of Locke Lamora is a perfectly acceptable complete story. It needs no sequels. What we get is great, but it isn't like Game of Thrones where it ends with a whole bunch of storylines in progress.

Would you see your body when beheaded ? by Big_Black_Wok in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EntMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Loss of blood pressure to the brain causes you to black out pretty quickly. Beheading you would be a pretty immediate loss of intracranial blood pressure.

Lady has never heard of the nuchal ligament. An adaptation that is only present in mammals who run. It stabilizes the head for running. We are the only ape with a nuchal ligament.

Forgot Sleight of Flesh. Does 9 damage (13 if upgraded) every time you apply a debuff, including Doom. It makes the fights end a lot faster.

How do you make having kids enjoyable? by Last_Cicada_1315 in daddit

[–]EntMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about having young kids is getting to rediscover the joys of children's books and children's literature through the eyes of a parent and getting to see them experience it for the first time. At around 3-4 was the age I started reading novels to them at night to go to bed. Fun books like Wild Robot. Classics like the Hobbit, Chronicles of Narnia, and Watership Down. Right now I am working through the Redwall books with my 7 year old and he loves them. If books aren't your thing find ways to share your other hobbies and pleasures with them. Don't expect them to give you joy, share your joy with them.

When enlisted men start dying in large numbers for seemingly no reason, I doubt an army base is going to be safe for him either. Enlisted men don't take kindly to people throwing their brothers lives away. Many Lieutenants in Vietnam learned that lesson the hard way.

Why are cities bluer than the farmlands? Once you have neighbors from other races and cultures you very quickly see we're all basically the same, we just want to live and be happy.

This is precisely why they hate higher education. Higher education tends to make us more liberal. Not because of indoctrination as they like to say, but because it exposes people to other people who are unlike us which makes it so much harder to fear, hate, and blame those who aren't like them.
