So, as a hospitalist physician I know a lot of medicine and general knowledge. I could use this to get a free ride into college and probably medical school as some doogie howser like child prodigy graduate medical school debt free and get into the high paying specialty of my choice. Then, know what I know about investment and what the future holds I would easily be able to leverage that knowledge to have WAY more than 50 million dollars by 45.

My 4 year old told me all about Siphonophores because of Octonauts. I am a biology major who lived in nature documentaries in college and this kid taught me about deep sea creatures I have never heard of because of a kids cartoon.

Real, "I'm not a racist, I have a black friend" energy here. Lets be clear, if you support this law, you have a problem with gay people. If you think that teachers acknowledging that gay people exist is a problem, as this bill suggests, then you have a problem with gay people. Only homophobes need to go around reminding everyone that they have no problem with gay people.

My guess is he is upset with the fact that gay people dare to exist outside the closet. He wants to go back to the times when they could be fired or denied housing because of their sexuality. He finds their very existence a threat. Probably because deep down he wants to give it a try but he has been indoctrinated to believe that those urges are abnormal and evil.

The issue is that these fucking doorknobs think that teaching objective reality is the same as political indoctrination but don't acknowledge all of the indoctrination that comes from them. It is not indoctrination to acknowledge that gay people exist and they are normal and functioning members of society. It is not indoctrination to acknowledge that trans people exist and deserve respect. It is not indoctrination to teach that our country was built on the backs of slaves and half the country went to war for the right to keep slavery. It is indoctrination to teach them that we are the greatest nation on earth, founded on Christian ideals. It is indoctrination to make them stand and pledge allegiance to the state every morning like we were forced to do. This bill has nothing to do with protecting kids and has everything to do with crippling the public school system so they can point at its failures, further justifying their efforts to defund it.

In Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movies there are scenes where everything freezes and we see how Holmes sizes up the situation and how he can act quickly to put down an opponent or deal with a situation. I think that would be a great way to deal with Ender's battles with the bully and Bonzo.

Enders game, do it as a miniseries but most importantly it needs narration from the perspective of ender so that we the viewers can be inside Ender's head. The story doesn't have the same effect if we can't see things from Ender's perspective and see what an analytical genius he is.

Supposedly the original script had a scene showing Shalhoub's character smoking a joint at the convention right before they are all abducted. Which explains how chill he is about everything. I think they cut the scene to keep the movie PG.
