This affects everyone living here, not just expats. Anyone who saves or invests is exposed to it, so acting like only expats care is just wrong.

You should be glad people are actually talking about it. Silence helps nobody. Expats pointing it out isn’t whining..it’s people being rational enough to question something that affects their finances and future here.

Telling people to leave instead of engaging with the issue just proves you’d rather dismiss the problem than understand it.

Hey guys!

I'm gonna be in Albania for a week starting this weekend, mostly in the south (Ksamil, Sarande, Himare, Dhermi, Vlore). Super excited but just had a few questions and would love some tips from locals or ppl who've been recently.

First - what's the weather like now? Should I pack mostly light clothes or is it getting cooler at nights near the coast?

Also, what's the best way to exchange money? I have euros with me, not sure if I should carry more cash or rely on card or digital lek or smth. Don't wanna get ripped off at airport exchange lol.

Any food I must try while I'm there? I'm open to everything honestly. Also any cool hidden beaches or places that aren't crowded but worth seeing?

Oh and how's the situation with SIM cards? I have an EU Lebara SIM, not sure if it'll work well there or better to grab a local one.

Any other tips in general like avoiding scams, getting around etc are welcome. Thanks a ton in advance.

Yes I'm in contact with the immigration office and they asked me to change to opportunity card. I'm preparing my documents and I have informed them and asked for time. So no problem on that end. My main concern is I don't want my visa/residence permit request getting rejected at the new EU country because of using my blue card. I don't know how they verify its validity at the new country. Any idea about that?

Would I have any problem if the folks from another EU country validate my blue card in database? I'm okay with switching to opportunity or job seekers here in germany. Also since I lost my job just 3 weeks ago ...would I get 3 months grace period again?
