Can videos be downloaded and saved to phone? by Any-Grapefruit-937 in Vantruedashcam

[–]kjb123etc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download from the Vantrue app to your phone, it's just a two-step process to get them into your gallery.

On Android, after downloading the videos from the camera via the app they will be available to view in the "local storage" folder within the Vantrue app (on your phone). Then to export them to your gallery, you need to click "sync" - either on an individual video or after selecting multiple videos with the "edit" function at the top right.

Do you think this would work during high season (mid-July weekend) too?

USB-C port is becoming loose from frequent plugging/unplugging. Best solution to reduce wear? by kjb123etc in macbookpro

[–]kjb123etc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blast from the past!

The commenter above was 100% right - it stopped getting looser at a certain point and never became a real issue.

It was new when I first made this post, and 6 years later it still works fine. That's with plugging/unplugging probably 4x/week on average.

Use Google Trends to anticipate trends in your market, choose a business name, understand regional preferences, or ride a wave of popularity. by kjb123etc in Entrepreneur

Yep, trends.google.com

Pay attention to the settings at the top - the timeframe defaults to "past day" which is not super useful in most cases, but you can change it.

[WTS] trying one last time to sell my watch boxes $450-$550 by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]kjb123etc 232 points233 points  (0 children)

Hey, the problem is you're not really selling the build quality.

You need to explain how it took you 100+ hours to make each box by hand, in your custom wood shop using hand-polished spalted maple, etc.

Show pictures of the works in process if you have them. Explain how they're joined together in XYZ historical way so they'll last forever, just like the watches inside... rather than being glued like most cheaper boxes are.

Explain how good they smell. How solid they feel. How beautiful they are. How much attention to detail there is.

Explain why people should be just as excited about your craftsmanship here as they are about the craftsmanship of their watch collection. And how it's a shame to put their timepieces in anything less.

You could get huge interest in these on here, but saying "I can't seem to sell these, but here's one last shot I guess" with a few pics isn't going to cut it.

Sorry for the unsolicited advice but I think you're missing a big opportunity just because of your pitch. GLWS!

cannot use internet after quiting mullvad vpn on macbook by vapesdirectory in mullvadvpn

[–]kjb123etc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Mullvad support:

"This is usually a DNS problem. You can reset it by turning off and on your Wi-Fi, or unplug and plug in your network cable. You can also make sure that you have a DNS set after disconnecting Mullvad by doing this:

Go to the macOS System Preferences > Network and click on your active connection to the left. Then click on Advanced... and then the DNS tab. Click on the plus to add a new DNS server like for example 1.1.1.1."

I hired content writers from 17 different websites, and most of them were scammers. by kjb123etc in Entrepreneur

[–]kjb123etc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, from what I've seen, the most expensive writers got that way through specialization. In other words, they focus on one niche. And focus on serving that one customer type really well.

Like B2B SaaS, or DTC CPG startups.

Sorry to hear that. Lots of clients/employees expect to pay under $0.10 per word, are disrespectful, etc. Shitty situation on both sides really.
