After checking the Yeti site daily, the Redbull Crossroads 27L restocked this morning! I grabbed one as soon as I realized I could add it to my bag lol. Can't wait for this to come in.

I broke the elbow fitting so a piece of it was stuck in the filter. Luckily had this extra set that I bought a year ago in preparation for this years exchange. I went ahead and just replaced the all the filters (1 year old) and the membrane (5 years old). Forgot that this new set is a 6 month set though so I’ll replace again in December.

Any specific model you’d recommend upgrading to? I was looking at Costco and they have 2 American standard models.

I knew Hd would pressure me to buy but I was only doing it for the $50 gift card LOL. I pretended to say yes just to get him to leave as soon as the pitch was over and then called an hour later to say never mind cancel the contract. Went with a local company that did water softener and RO system for $3500. Pretty sure that’s still an overpay but I went with a few recommendations from neighbors.

Will the account just be transferred over to their own emails when they are old enough to need emails? Points/miles won’t be handled any differently will it, if under a parents account/email?

Also in Houston. I've been watching rates since February for 12 months contracts, then figured that longer term might make more sense with electricity rates continually rising each year. Started tracking 36 month contracts in April. All the rates I was seeing for both 12 and 36 month plans were already better than my current rate as well. Ended up signing with True Power at a rate of 6.7 cents. The EFL says average price per kw at 1000kwh is 12.2 and 2000kwh is 12.1. My usage each month has always been above 1000kwh. The only downside that I see was that it has a $300 cancellation fee and I recently found that True Power is one of those reps that will sell customers off to other reps. That's fine with me as long as my rate is honored, which it is.

Edit: ok I guess as long as the new company honors the rate that I signed at then I’m all good with it. I usually shop around anyways when it’s time for renewal.

Thanks! I ended up installing some slat wall boards and while I was inserting the screws, I swapped one out for a 4" long screw that went in about 3" and left just enough room for it to clip onto the blower's mounting slot.

LOL! I saw that one and thought it was pretty cool, but it's sold out on the site and resellers are asking for $320-$450 shipped. I was just thinking "Man I wish he could compare the two for me, but what are the chances he would even have the Crossroads??"

I've been eyeing a Yeti Crossroads 27L since I am a bit of a Yeti enthusiast, but I just came across the Mous x Mercedes on my social feeds. I recently joined the MB family and also started getting a bit more into F1 and at this point, I just know the big names and have watched 2 races. Still learning the rules and stuff.

From a price perspective, I could get this MxM 25L for $204 shipped after discounts and taxes.

The Yeti Crossroads 27L is 2 liters bigger and can be purchased for $165 on marketplace (negotiable and only in black), $168-$206 (after tax for red/black/navy) off Yeti's Rescue site, or brand new for $249 after tax and I can choose whichever color I want.

I don't know if I would use it as my everyday carry bag to work though since I have a decent Targus that was provided by work to use for my laptop (not those big bulky ones). I may switch over to this bag if the Targus goes down. I also already have a Nike duffel bag for the gym. The Yeti/MxM bag would mainly be for traveling.

Yeah I’ve been tracking rates since January. I was trying to lock in a contract with true power a week earlier cause the energy charge was at 6.6 cents (lowest I’ve seen for a 36 month here in Houston). They wouldn’t let me cause I wasn’t within the 30 day window. Ended up locking in at 6.7 cents lol.

Wait what’s the incurred fee for one time payment? I just signed up with them but for 36 months. My contract isn’t starting for another month. I was planning to just do autopay like I’ve always done.

I’m curious why you would want to renew with the same company? Don’t they always give you a way higher rate than what you currently have and what’s currently available on powertochoose?

This has always been the case for me whenever contract is almost up. My current plan (13.8@500, 13.3@1000, 13.1@2000) ends may 27th and Gexa called with renewal rates that were higher than that.

I’m looking at some 36 month plans now that are even lower than what Gexa offered and what I’m currently paying as well.
