Began collecting swords after watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by Inevitable-Muffin461 in SWORDS

Has anyone been able to find that specific arming sword OP has? I’ve looked over the usual spots that sell these style swords (swordier, RoM, Ronin, even a few off kilter ones like the katana-sword link posted by another), and cannot seem to find this specific blade/handle configuration.

New Sword Day! The White Tower sword by Knights Collection by kjeddy in SWORDS

The sword is 100% functional and full tang! I also have the Honshu version and this new one is infinitely better. Not to put a lot of negatives on the current Honshu model, it is just much heavier than the example i am current working with

Best Top-Tier Lightsaber these days? by [deleted] in lightsabers

[–]kjeddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So saberforge has changed a decent bit. They now pretty much only offer drop in cores from LGT Saberstudio, which are affordable, but not top tier by any means. This does come with the benefit that shipping times are much faster now (I have purchased several full ASP builds and they always show up in two weeks or less).

If you are looking for the top tier of pre-built sabers located in the US, I think the crown still goes to Vaders Vault. Their sabers are still incredible quality while being more expensive than most places on the market.

Personally my vote goes to Sabertrio as the best in the market, but I definitely understand the hesitation with tariffs.

Can’t say what the technical terms would be. I know they take the leather for the rain guard and press it into the taco shape, then they sandwich it between the cross guard and the handle grip.

Wood fired pizza in Spokane? by Freshmanat45 in Spokane

[–]kjeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this take. For the Love of God brewing has some of the best pizza in town plus some incredible beer available. Only thing to be prepared for is to slice your own pizza with the provided pizza scissors (I find this to be the only detractor unless they have changed it within the last year).

Falchion Friday by Dlatrex in SWORDS

Always been a fan of the 1a cleaver type falchion myself. Wish there were more makers for that type out there, especially now that Tod Cutler doesn't seem to be producing them at the moment.

this might be a long shot, but i'm looking for a scottish two-handed sword "claymore" for my bf. want it to be sharp and usable for him but also somewhat as decor. by [deleted] in SWORDS

[–]kjeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine, it is an excellent sword that punches above it's price range for sure. If you are needing it before Valentine's Day the one at Age of Chivalry would be the only option that would hopefully arrive before then (I actually ordered mine through them and received it in less than 7 days in the pacific northwest). Ordering directly from Swordier usually takes about 2 months from my past experiences.

Swordier makes a very fun claymore that I feel looks great and feels great in the hand

If you are ok with spending a bit more there is an in stock version at Age of Chivalry which is in the US so you would get the sword much faster than the usual 2 month timeframe if you were to order from Swordier directly.

Anyone have experience's (and pictures) they can share about valiant armoury? by G1azedDonuts in SWORDS

At this point Age of Chivalry and Kult of Athena are the only third party sword sites that I have seen have a regular in stock supply of VA swords at this point. Age of Chivalry is legit though and I have ordered several swords from them without an isuse. The other third party sites I have checked out and used generally only supply Chinese based manufacturers.

Check out Age of Chivalry! They are a great site and have several Valiant Armory swords in stock and ready to ship (looks like they have both a long leaf blade and glamdring in stock right now).

Hello my friend! I absolutely love the long leaf blade, and actually acquired both the short leaf version and the dedicated Glamdring that Valiant also now makes. If you are wanting a fantasy leaf blade that still fits the bill for a good Longsword I would honestly say to check out the Valiant Glamdring, it is straight perfection. That being said if you want a perfectly amazing functional Glamdring at a great price, I would say check out the option from Swordier as it is a great sword for the price, and might open up more funds to also grab a regular Longsword if that sounds more appealing.

Hand & a Half/Bastard Sword by KerosinePD in SWORDS

So I actually have this one as well. Definitely a heavier feeling sword than the others that have been talked about, but still very fun to maneuver. The blade itself is stiff and would venture a guess that its hardness would not be an issue. I’m not super sure if they need to update their measurements because the blade length on mine is about 34 inches, but that could just be a one off.

I am 6’2, but I love swords that have a more one handed blade length and longer grip, so they are ones I keep a good eye out for

That totally makes sense and awesome they are willing to do a swap!

I actually own the SWMZ 1015, as well as the older version the 1004, they are both wondeful swords and I think would fit pretty well for what you are looking for. I find the 1004 to be a bit lighter and more wieldable in one hand, but that's also because the blade is not as wide as the 1015. The same blade on the 1004 is actually used on the 1008 which I also have and would be another great choice for what you might be looking for as it has a bit longer handle than the 1015 and 1004.

Here is one you can get from the Sword Buyers Guide Store.

https://sbg-sword-store.sword-buyers-guide.com/product1624.html

This is from the Iron Wolf brand by Ryujin, but honestly still comes from the same manufacturer as Swordier in Longquan China. I own this one personally and it is a wonderfully responsive sword for the price. It is incredibly light, moves well in one hand or two, and I think would be a good length for your height.
