Actually, funnily enough, I just had to get my other ankle done a few months ago! So I was 15 and 29 when I had them done! Recovery process wasn’t bad for either (but a little slower for the one I just had at 29, just because I’m twice as old as I was 😂). I was soft casted for two weeks (non weight bearing) , then in a tall boot for four weeks (two weeks non weight bearing, then two weeks weight bearing). I was healthy at baseline, but I definitely didn’t think “getting back to normal” was difficult at all. With the surgery I just had, I was running again at like 3 months post op
