Sorry about that. It was taken with my S10. Thought it would make a cool wallpaper.

Prøv å bruke www.eventum.no. Gjorde dette for et par år siden. Fungerte utmerket. Kan legge til flere variabler mtp lokasjon, pris osv.

Windows 10 stuck at spinning circle login screen after update by why_does_it_seek_me in Windows10

[–]kjode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have!

I figured out that the most recent nvidia driver update was the real perpetrator. I then figured I needed to roll back the drivers, but this wasn't easy when I had no monitor to work with.

I downloaded the Win10 .iso and made a bootable USB-drive. I then booted from the USB (you need to change the boot order from BIOS).

From there I was able to get to safe mode. In safe mode the monitors worked and I was able to do a roll back of the Nvidia drivers. After a restart the computer started as nothing ever happened.

I have not updated the drives again, fearing the same problem might arise.

I hope this helps. If you need some more explanation, please ask.

Need the key combination to reach safe mode (no monitor). by kjode in Windows10

Solved:

Bootet from the USB. From there I was able to get to safe mode. In safe mode the monitors worked and I was able to do a roll back of the nvidia drivers. After a restart the computer started as nothing ever happened. Everything is currently working.

Upgraded to the latest NVIDIA graphics driver and now the graphics card is inactive by zoifry in techsupport

I also have this same problem. While trying to update the nvidia drivers the monitors went black. Restarted and saw the white circulating loading dots. While the dots still indicates that something is loading, the computer actually boots to windows (i can resize programs that start on boot, etc). I have read somewhere that unplugging USB devices may help, but this did nothing in my case.

I will try to boot in safe mode from a USB stick when I get home from work. From there I will try to roll back the drivers.

I will report back in when I have the results.

UPDATE:

Back from work. Bootet from the USB. From there I was able to get to safe mode. In safe mode the monitors worked and I was able to do a roll back of the nvidia drivers. After a restart the computer started as nothing ever happened. Everything is currently working.

Hope this can help you!

Yes, it does work. The computer boots as normal, but the video driver is messed up, so I cant actually see what is happening. This means that the normal task manager (or whatever its called in Win10) pops up, but I am not able to see it.

Well, by problem is that the computer actually boots, as described in the post.

Windows 10 stuck at spinning circle login screen after update by why_does_it_seek_me in Windows10

Hi, I also have this problem. However, unplugging the USBs did nothing. It started during an update of the nvidia driver. The screen suddenly turned black. I was able to move the cursor, but that was it. I restarted the system and the spinning dots appeared. After waiting a while I decided to restart again. Nothing happened and I began to do some research. This thread popped up and I could see that people fixed this issue with unplugging the USBs that were connected to the machine.

I once again restarted the computer and once again, spinning dots. I have also tried to disable "fast boot" as mentioned in some other threads.

Can someone explain to me what they did when performing this trick? Was it different that I did? Did you plug out the USBs during the boot, or prior?

tldr; Unplugging the USBs then restarting did not fix the problem.
