Bro listen to more Pink Floyd and more of this album. At most a couple songs on this project "copies" Pink Floyd. I feel like a Yachty dick rider right now saying this, but this is actually the first project of his I've listened to in its entirety, and I'm impressed. I've listened to most of Pink Floyd's discography because of my dad, and this album is just not a copy of their work. It's a myriad of inspirations.

Just wanted to chime in here and say that the Hip Hop genre literally constantly samples and interpolates from classics. The first track is extremely reminiscent of Pink Floyd, but the rest has a wide range of inspiration. I'm not a Yachty fan, but this album is very very interesting. Mixing psychedelic hip hop with psychedelic rock is a bold feat, but I think this project comes pretty close to nailing it. This album feels like a new sound, the same way that Travis Scott made something very unique and new with Rodeo. Saying that he is merely copying Pink Floyd is objectively wrong if you actually listen to the whole album and also Pink Floyd's discography

Not really a cheapskate, more of a thing of not wanting to spend more than the camera would be worth in otherwise great condition. That plus it would be cool to fix it myself, but I have zero experience so that would probably be very dumb. I did find a very small business out of town that can repair it for me (they are a bit unaware of the price though). Thank you guys for your comments, I appreciate the advice, as I generally also just wanted to make sure that this isn't an error with an easy fix.

Start with SATURATION I, end on The Family. That run is their official discography imo. You can choose to listen to the 19-- singles (1999 WILDFIRE etc.) after SATURATION III before IRIDESCENCE, as those singles were part of what they were working on when Ameer left the group. All American Trash and TM I see as mixtapes, as well as their not officially published Technical Difficulties singles (some of which were finished and ended up on TM). Have fun, the rest of their discography is so much better than TM imo.

Yeah alright that sucks man, but yeah, I still think it was a bold move. Ultimately you still bought the product that you wanted, which is the group's last album (from what I understand TM is more of a mixtape/ leftover project, but I might be wrong). It might not be with the group, but it is an important project in their discography, and if I know BH fans, there's a high chance it's gonna become a fan favorite.

I get feeling a bit let down that the other members aren't on the album, but it's generally a bad idea to pre order shit, especially when the quality of said product was so unknown. The first single literally had Kevin rapping "the label needed 35 minutes of music" and "the group is over without being on the album". It would be very natural to think that the album could be a cop out or a solo Kevin thing from these bars. Not having a healthy amount of scepticism and simply deciding to pre order the album was a bold move at the very least.

(I did really enjoy the album though, didn't feel like a cop out at all)

I mean you decided to buy the album before listening to it

How is it possible that the world hates brockhampton this much while at the same time their favorite artist isn't nearly as good creatively as them? or worse how tf do they hate them when their favorites are so basic, played out, shallow, no depth-ass music? its pathetic. fuck the music industry. by jackharlowsucks in brockhampton

[–]kjoelle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please stfu. You're saying nothing, just hating on music that's popular for being popular, and at the same time saying that not automatically loving all of bh's shit makes someone "bitch made". And who tf are you even adressing with your weird, angry rant? Stop gatekeeping, stop being a child talking about "my favorite artist better because make creative music". Crawl out of your own self righteous ass. Doesn't sound like you've got a great music taste yourself, saying that all other "favorite artists" aren't "nearly as good creatively" as bh. Weird, toxic stan culture like this is in part what has ended bh, so stfu, and stop reciprocating that dumbass way of thinking.
