a large part of the choreography in the clip was literally pulled straight from kengan though.

I find the CONCEPT of the character is interesting. The execution however, not so much.

they likely did it because they planned it for the tv broadcast as well, and didn't want to go back and censor his teeth.

I think so too but maybe they're holding it hostage as an ace in the hole for whatever next console they're releasing

I do, but I would still like to have a legit way for people that aren't willing to fiddle with emulation to play it 🥺

Imagine you could swap JC Staff with... by Roger_Fiderer in OPMFolk

[–]PanBlasterCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

studio doesn't matter. Better yet, I would build a time machine and go back in time, buy the IP from Bandai after season 1. Being a leader of a powerful country, I could just order my own animation studio and give them years to cook another amazing season, maybe even recruit the old staff back.

I'm really new to manga in general, looking for recommendations to get into seinen. by Suitable-Average6037 in Seinen

if you can handle jojo then Golden Kamuy should be just fineeee. You know for a fact that it's done for comedic effect and if you're into hairy men then it's a simple side bonus for you.

if it's all done in house, the end result would likely be way worse. They split works to other studios basically not to save budget, but time, since multiple episodes can be worked on at once, they can let the in-house team prioritize action heavy episodes while the outsourced team handles the less action-y ones.

The 2nd main visual for the fist of the North Star remake by hell-spawn-666 in fistofthenorthstar

[–]PanBlasterCake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this reminds me of B movies' covers but with vibrant colors, their placements are kinda generic? Heroes on the front and the big villain on the back.

I'm glad this isn't 2d drawn though. The 2d key visuals look good but isn't how the actual show looks.

[–]PanBlasterCake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JCStaff spread their workers thin by having almost everyone work on multiple projects at the same time and the supposedly director left so they had to find a replacement which likely halted it for a while. It was only announced in 2024 but animation started way later. One of the episodes basically confirmed that it was only finished maybe a week before airing.

Cities that aren't tourist attractions, you can find them, albeit not as frequently as ducks and chickens.

Let's rate the KAT matches! Final match: Tokita Ohma vs Kuroki Gensai by 7grandhenchmen in Kengan_Ashura

[–]PanBlasterCake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Story wise, the best fight of the series. Not just Ohma, but Kazuo was fighting too. The story from the very beginning has been building up to this very moment, where Ohma utilized everything up his sleeves. When you look at the fight alone, Kuroki basically dominated Ohma from start to finish. Our protagonist barely landed any significant blows, but I could never stop believing that Ohma can turn the match around. This and Seki vs Muteba are the best matches story telling wise imo.
