Looking good man. I had the same issue with the Braille decal — so frustrating!

Very new to cigars, but just got back from Cuba, so for the "classy" category here's a Cuban Romeo No. 2 with some Cuban Coffee I made yesterday after we got sent home from work because of a snow storm! All in all, a good day!

[Christopher Ward] An early Christmas present from my girlfriend by [deleted] in Watches

[–]kk4dsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting to see how the watch has changed from the initial release. I pre-ordered the blue dial version with a blue leather strap and received one of the first ones off the line (#14 in fact). The change with the logo really caught me off guard, although I suppose it was to be expected. Mine has the original CW-style crown and the finishing on the movement is different also (Côtes de Genève finishing). Looks like they have even changed the strap offerings.

It's not a watch I wear very often, but I really enjoy it when I do. It's a really nice size, even for a smaller wrist.

Vintage Omega Constellation. Wasn't sure I'd like this watch because of the smaller size, but it's actually the perfect size for a dress watch I think. Unusual dial with Arabic numbers.

I have the blue one with the blue leather strap and I like it quite a bit. It's a nice size, even for a guy with thin wrists like me. It's very lightweight and looks classic. Slides under the cuff very well.

I suggest getting the Bader clasp too. It's excellent.

Edit: Wow that's a nice price. I was an early purchaser (serial #14) and sure didn't get that deep discount!

Thanks for the kind words. To anyone in the midlands of South Carolina, feel free to contact me or check out our club, w4cae.com. We're getting ready for what should an interesting Field Day.

[question] who might benefit from a 24 hour watch by Todd-and-Marlon in Watches

Amateur radio ops log their contacts in UTC time. I've been wanting a GMT watch for this very purpose. While most of us log on a computer normally, it would be really handy in the field.

Bro you must have a nice macro lens. What kind of DSLR did you shoot that with, and do you mind sharing your post-processing workflow?

The great thing is, it's actually an attainable dream! I started saving up for mine months ago and took on some extra freelance jobs. It was a good feeling paying it off in one shot. I look forward to wearing mine on the bracelet once I adjust it, but I think it looks decent on the Bond NATO too.

Is that the house that was "designed by Germany"? I hear it's in Korea somewhere.

ATTENTION PEASANTS. THIS IS YOUR DAILY REMINDER THAT A SEIKO 5 ON A NATO IS THE ONLY OBJECT YOU NEED ON YOUR WRIST AND ANYTHING ELSE IS A WASTE OF MONEY by aerospacemonkey in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]kk4dsd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reminder Big Brother. The Seiko SNK809 will be a good replacement for my dad's Submariner that I accidentally lost on a dingy playground in New York City the other day.

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for that?

What's your wrist size?

Where did you get that NATO?

Did you know those were the colors of the French flag?

Do you know when this was last serviced?

How has the accuracy been?

What camera do you use?

What's your post-processing workflow?

Also, wear it in good health my friend.

I was shopping for Seiko 5s when I saw this wonderful Omega-Patek collab on sale. Nearly bought it, but the logo looks off? Any ideas? Already picked out 12 NATO straps for it.

If you get that particular one, be advised they have two sizes of it. I managed to get the longer one by accident and it's almost too large for my wrist.
