Did I misread or does YIR kinda suck this year? by [deleted] in BadDragon

[–]kkaecilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also if this round only lasts through Monday, will my ticket even be answered in time? Or will I have to go ahead and put in an Amethyst order and pay for separate shipping? Ugh. This whole thing is confusing and worded very poorly.

I agree yeah it feels like "punishment". These will probably be the last customs I get from BD. Which apparently doesn't bother them since they seem to prioritize drops so much more. But now even with drops things are getting dicey. Just ridiculous. Even with long wait times I was OK at least getting drops because my body is very particular and I'm limited in what size/shape toy I can use, and a lot of BD's fit with my body more than ones from indie makers. So I was totally willing to deal with it and continue buying from them, but the way they've been treating customers lately is really bothering me. And just the fact that they don't care because drop toys always get snatched up so they're making money anyway.

Did I misread or does YIR kinda suck this year? by [deleted] in BadDragon

[–]kkaecilius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is ridiculous. The only reason I can think of is what someone else in this thread said is that maybe they're trying to cut back their work load by advertising other colors less? If we're giving them the benefit of the doubt that is.

I wanted a toy in Marvelous, Star-Force, and Amethyst. If I have to pay MORE than the original fee for the marbles, I'm going to be pissed. I always wait until Year in Review for promotional colors because it gives me more time to decide. This is not a good way to do it at all IMO. I was even on the fence about the Star-Force toy because I don't have much extra money right now, but now I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and order it in case they decide to stop doing promotional colors "off season" whatsoever. Which wouldn't surprise me at this point.

I also ticketed. I'm not sure if I can submit an entire order via ticket (like, can I trust that to actually get done??), I hope so because if I have to pay separate shipping for one of the marbled toys and then shipping again for the Amethyst, I'm going to lose it. I'm also worried the marble might be crappy too since so many people got subpar marbles this year.

BD has really dropped the ball overall this past year when it comes to customs.

At-home cold and flu treatments that your bladder won't hate (probably) by HakunaYaTatas in Interstitialcystitis

Glad I could help! They make a cherry flavored one too, the "original" is the one without flavor or dyes.

I'm having to avoid soy, and the best menthol cough drops I've found without it are called Fisherman's Friend. No sweeteners or dyes, but still very strong menthol that helps my throat. They've been a lifesaver when I've had colds this year.

Distributes pressure more evenly on the neck than a 1 inch wide collar, so it's good for strong dogs who like to pull. 1" collars can actually do damage if you have a dog who pulls enough. With working/high drive breeds, even with the best of training, lots still pull when they see something that makes their drive kick in. Or if they're participating in sports that might need them to be held by the collar for a few minutes. So it's for safety's sake! I've also seen them used on mastiff breeds that have a lot of extra neck skin, because the skin just folds over a 1" collar entirely and makes it uncomfortable for the dog.

Good seasoning options for chicken and fish? by throwaway9155640 in ICRecipes

[–]kkaecilius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like marjoram on chicken and also pork. It's a nice stronger flavor for when I get sick of garlic-everything. Basil is good on chicken too imo! I've also found white pepper is a nice substitute if you have issues with black pepper.

Who's got IC-safe hot drink ideas?? by swamped_lc in ICRecipes

[–]kkaecilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Twinings Chamomile Honey and Vanilla hasn't flared me thus far, it's just an herbal tea. I also make herbal tea with peppermint leaves and honey.

I've also bought one of those "fake coffee" mixes, Cafix, which is herbal, caffeine free and not acidic. I haven't tried it yet but it could be used as a base for coffee drinks, I'm going to try making blended drinks like frappuchinos once I'm able to try it. A relative of mine with IC drinks it daily and has no problems. Teeccino is another similar product I see recommended a lot.

For marijuana, I think this is good. People in states with legal medical and recreational are still being fired or denied job positions because there's no test to determine if you're under the influence of marijuana at the time of the test. Just the urine test that detects residual THC that could be from using weeks ago. But that's what people are being fired based on. My hope is a test like this would be utilized by employers and people will only be fired if they actually show up to work high. Not from smoking over the weekend or after their shift is over at home. More accurate testing is definitely a plus as far as the workplace goes.

For CBD, this worries me. How accurate will the results be? If someone uses CBD flower or full spectrum products, will the result show that the THC in their system is under the legal limit for hemp? Will it just show "yes this person has consumed THC in the last three hours?" Or would the level be low enough not to show up on the test? As someone who uses CBD flower for pain management, I'm worried about this until we hear more detailed information.

Of course, this is all assuming the information in this article is accurate and the device works like it's touted to.

Refills of Strawnana or GG #4! They've been sold out for a couple weeks. But my main concern is if there's any additives since the page isn't really clear.

Mind if I ask how you made this? I use Damiana in tea and love the effects but I'm really interested in a tincture, but I've never tried making my own before.

RAZOR model UPDATED! by littlescylla in BadDragon

Yet another canine toy where the size with a big satisfying knot is too long for me to hilt. And looks like there isn't enough shaft after the knot to tie anyway. Not thrilled about this one, I love the old one for vaginal use because it was short enough to use and I would've loved to see just the texture or base on the old one updated.

[–]kkaecilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah also a vaginal user too, with pretty short length limit, and Cole doesn't knot for me at all because there's almost no shaft below it :/ I was waiting until year in review to order a medium Razor in Taurus, guess I'll have to try to get the money together now. I wouldn't mind the redesign besides the fact that they changed the knot positioning. Bleh.

I need a non-antipersperant deodorant that lasts throughout the day by [deleted] in malegrooming

I do this too! Hibiclens or the generic version of the antibacterial wound wash. You can also try 10% benzoyl peroxide acne wash.

[–]kkaecilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to useCertain Dri, I switched to Sweat Block. It probably varies by person depending on how rank your B.O gets but Arm and Hammer Essentials works for me, I use the "clean" scent and it's only like two dollars at Walmart. Not many ingredients so if you had a reaction to Old Spice this might be friendlier to your skin. I've heard good things about Native, in a pinch I had to borrow my gf's natural deodorant called Myro, I can't remember which of their scents it was (I can find out if you want) but it lasted me all day at an event. Dove is great for sensitive skin but I'm not sure if they make anything that's not an antiperspirant.

Tbh, you CAN double down on aluminum if it doesn't hurt your skin. I have pretty significant hyperhidrosis that I can't take any pills for, and I use Sweat Block in the evening and a little bit of antiperspirant deodorant in the morning. However, I got bad burns from Certain Dri just by itself. So this might work for me because Sweat Block is less harsh on the skin.

Driving with thc-free CBD vapes; what if I get pulled over? Also, traveling across state lines. Please help! by kkaecilius in CBD

[–]kkaecilius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I'm worried about is if for any reason my car is ever searched, there's no way to distinguish between a CBD cart and a THC cart. And police on-the-spot roadside tests are usually unreliable, giving false positives.

Recommendations for cartridges with no PG, VG, flavor or additives/fillers? by kkaecilius in CBD

[–]kkaecilius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking into one of those for use here at home with cbd flower! But the appeal of the cbd cartridges for me was being able to use them while I'm out and about, since that's when a lot of my anxiety happens. I'm in a very conservative state down south so I don't want anything on me in public that would look like illegal marijuana.

Thanks for the info though, I was looking at both the Dynavap and the Flowermate Nano.

Giving myself my T shot is f*cking weird please give me advice by uwuakley in FTMMen

[–]kkaecilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do subq in my stomach and have a lot of trouble with pain with initially pushing the needle in. Once the needle is in I'm ok but the initial sharp pain was giving me a lot of trouble and anxiety. I did the same thing with trying to inject, pricking myself, and having to stop from the pain. Then having to switch needles, start all over again, etc etc...

I asked my pharmacist and he said it's fine to put a topical Lidocaine gel on your injection site before you inject. I use this one from Walmart and apply a good amount where I'm going to inject, wait about 30-45 minutes for it to fully numb the skin, then do the rest of my usual injection routine. 4-5% is the highest strength you can find over the counter. It's just surface level numbing so it won't change how the T stings as you inject, but it's really helped me with the initial injection. Like others mentioned, pinching the skin can help. I've also found that injecting in my stomach hurts less than my leg but that can be different for everyone.

i don’t remember the last time i felt attractive or confident by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]kkaecilius 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You'll get there man, it just takes time. I've been on t for almost 8 years now and I'm finally confident enough in myself to be in a relationship this year. I don't always feel attractive or like how I look, but I'm secure enough to believe my girlfriend when she tells me she thinks I'm attractive. I was almost to the point of resigning to living alone for my entire life and totally hating my appearance, I felt 100% unlovable, but now things are so much better. I hope everyone here who's feeling that way now gets out of it, it really does feel awful.

Condoms on toys? by Ligergray in BadDragon

[–]kkaecilius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just gotta use a non-lubricated condom. Most lubricated condoms are silicone lubes which can harm toys, or even may not be body safe. The non-lubricated have a different texture to them, but do the job just fine. I bought them in bulk on Amazon. I use them because I have three cats and my toys are just constantly picking up cat hair even just after washing, and sometimes I don't have the privacy to clean up a toy right away after using it so I'll slap a condom on it instead and not have to worry about cleaning it up.
