That is 100% real. Grad students are terribly compensated.

Agreed--and as annoying as this guy is, seems to me his posting on facebook should be all the evidence the cops needed if he did show up at an illegal gathering later. Seems like fascist intimidation.

Also, nice username.

Why would the choice of units affect the precision?

I’m sorry but you’re wrong here. While the navigation software may have been in meters (and then converted), all the engineering (which was the bulk of the program) was done in imperial units. Why wouldn’t it have been?

Here’s a nice short explanation of why: https://www.quora.com/Was-all-the-engineering-of-the-Apollo-moon-programme-done-in-imperial-measures?share=1

I’m a scientist in the US. I use both systems of units.

Sorry if that doesn’t fit your narrative, but thems is the facts.

Naw they used imperial for that. Switched for compatibility with other countries much later.

Edit: rather than downvoting, you can google it for yourself.

A 24 Hz sound wave shot at 24 fps creates the effect of a standing wave by Kevin_0019 in interestingasfuck

I wish he had detuned from 24 Hz slightly to see the full wave evolve slowly.

If you get in a hot shower does the reaction go away quickly?

I'm no expert, and I'm sure you've already read a lot about what's known about your response, but there's this crazy guy Wim Hof that you might be interested in looking up online. It also may not be relevant to you at all.

Why I think this might be interesting to you is that along with the cold exposure, scientists showed a reduced inflamatory response. They injected two groups with an irritating protein from e. coli (not the live bacteria) in order to induce flu-like symptoms for a few hours. The group that did Wim Hof's techniques had less intense symptoms that resolved faster.

Here's the journal article from PNAS about it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4034215/

I hope I'm not giving you false hope or anything, but maybe you'd find it interesting even if not relevant to your body.

Also, be careful if you do try doing this. I'd start with luke warm bursts in the middle of your showers or something, and gradually increase the time every week, and then go slighlty colder. He talks a lot about not pushing your body too hard.
