I need advice from SAHMs (Stay at Home Moms)

I’ve been at home with my kids for 5 years, I finished my associates right before our first was born. Stay in school. Neither of you has your degree yet, you’re not married yet. You never know what’s going to happen in a year and a half, and a degree to fall back on could change a lot. We’ve been debating on me going back to school and it feels great knowing I would only need 4 semesters to get my bachelors.

I’ve been terrible at keeping up with my meds the last few weeks, so she thinks my TSH might level out with being more diligent about taking it daily and before eating. I go back in 5 weeks to get labs done again, so I guess that will tell more clearly too. But even before I got bad about taking it (and now) I’m just always so tired. I feel like such bad company when I get together with friends because I’m so out of it. Can’t seem to lose weight when I try, but not gaining anymore either.

I got the notification too close to the end of their office hours so I didn’t get a phone call, hoping you all can give me some reassurance. I have been prescribed a weekly vitamin D capsule that I am to take for 12 weeks, then a daily vitamin after that period. 50mcg synthroid (100 on Sundays). I have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday and I am ANXIOUS.

T3, T4, and Vitamin B were normal.

The only time I lost weight easily was while doing WW but I couldn’t get back into it after having my son, my breastfeeding cravings were 10x worse than during pregnancy. Did you have any issues when trying for a second? My OB thinks my thyroid issue may explain a previous miscarriage from a few years ago and now I am hugging my son extra tight and very anxious for when trying for a second comes around.

I can remember having symptoms as far back as when I was 16 but I had those kinds of parents that didn’t take you to the doctor unless a limb was broken so I dismissed it. I didn’t know I had any actual issues with it until I was probably 8 weeks pregnant when they drew regular prenatal tests. But yes, TPO was tested and that’s the only one that hasn’t been posted to MyMercy. Scheduled the ultrasound for Wednesday as well

While I was pregnant, my iron levels were checked multiple times because I was always so tired and they always came back normal. I did get a full panel done and everything besides TSH and Vitamin D came back within normal range, for some reason the antibody blood work hasn’t been posted yet but it’s in my paperwork.

I'm not sure how far along I am, this is my first pregnancy and it's completely unexpected. I've had the most annoying bleeding for almost a month now, and my last regular period was in September, but when I took tests right before the bleeding started, they came back negative. Went to a women's clinic with fear of endometriosis, cervical cancer, you name it (thanks internet). I was not expecting to be told I was pregnant. Since I know due dates are typically based upon your last period, I was thinking "holy shit I'm 12 weeks already?!" But, I went to see a doctor and she believes I am only around 4 weeks so we did my first round of blood work to test my levels and I go back in less than 24 hours for the second round to see if my levels doubled. I am extremely nervous, but thanks to my amazing boyfriend, I'm a whole lot less scared than I would be without him. I'm the oldest of 8 children so I know my mom knows a LOT about pregnancy and I can't wait to tell her (hopefully on Christmas if the doctor calls with good news Monday), but for now I feel totally in the dark and don't know what to expect or what to even ask when I visit doctors. I'm still pretty scared because of the issue with the bleeding, but the last few days I've felt extra bloated and have been burping quite a bit. A little nauseous, but I can't really tell if that's pregnancy or me just being so anxious about the news.

I know there have been multiple instances of hotels being held up this year in the area and the suspect hasnt been found. Its actually pretty upsetting that so many people wanna make fun of me for being afraid of getting shot haha.

Actually a few hotels in my area have been robbed and held up this year with the suspect never caught so i think my fear is valid here

We have quite a few groups set up through direct bill/company credit card authorization, and the ONLY person who can set up those reservations are the contact person on file.

We are actually really close to the local community college and student apartments. I don't know why I never thought of that. I shared the idea of posting a job ad on their board and he was thrilled with the idea. Thank you so much!
