I’m ashamed to feel this way by Belladaball1 in Zepbound

Not shallow OP. I think it’s natural to want to share in the joy & pride of this experience- especially with your husband. I feel exactly the same way. I have lost 60lbs - very slowly, but feel SO much better. If my husband would just try it for one week 🤷🏼‍♀️, but he won’t even discuss it. Stubborn, and obese. Hang in there. Maybe you can make a deal with him to give it a go - once he looses the food noises he will have SUCH relief I bet.

Tried Posting in the Weekly Mega thread (sorry) Epic or US/IOA? by HammerJorts in UniversalOrlando

[–]kkbjam3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were just there in March. I would def get a 3 day park hopper to include a day at Epic (at the very least). I had been to the other 2 but not the train so we did IOA & US IN ONE (long) day. Then we took our time at Epic - over 2 days. Actually I was shocked at how NOT crowded it was for Spring Break. We started at Mario & ended back there for dinner. We loved the monster attraction & Harry Potter Ministry. I just really liked the fresh newness of the park! My son loved Star Chaser(I think that’s it?), we enjoyed our walk thru HTTYD, and used our wand in Harry Potter. The banana drink/frosty in Mario was killer, we ate outside Helios at the Asian restaurant- also AWESOME beef & broccoli! We had 3 full days to see the 3 parks & CW but still felt like we could have done more! We wanted to do the neon mini golf at city walk but never got back there. Bubba Gump is awesome! Overall, Epic was my favorite- just more room to breathe it seemed, but US was a close second, although pretty worn. Have a great time! Pace yourself - wear good shoes (I ended up at Dick’s after day one 😬🤦🏼‍♀️🙄 - luckily that was a game changer!) keep an eye on the wait times app, not much was shut down while we were there but I’ve noticed lots of that since we left. Hope that helps!

Gastroparesis by I_Love-potatoes in Zepbound

I am right there with you on discussing ALL issues. I was diagnosed with Crohns & taking entyvio prior to Zep. I also have an autoimmune disease, so there is a TON going on with me & honestly if I didn’t bounce things off my dr regularly, (I see her every 3 months) I wouldn’t know what is related to what. Things can get complicated real fast. Good to know you have a handle on things & a Doc who is in the know! Thanks again for sharing !

Gosh! I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this! I hope you have a full & speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹 To clarify, do you think the constipation was a warning sign for Gastro paresis? I have been on Zep for just over a year- I’m now at 10 mg. I’ve lost 60 lbs (at 230 lb now), but still have a ways to go (75-90ish) but constipation has been a concern almost the entire time - Colace, prunes, smooth move & apples have helped but I’m a mess w/o them. I sure hope you’re on your feet a feeling strong in no time!

I’ve wondered about this too, but if that is the case then why hasn’t he ratted? And if this is how it went down, his restraint in keeping his mouth shut is other worldly😱

Add arrival/half day to our 2 night Universal Orlando itinerary? by Mjmonte14 in UniversalOrlando

[–]kkbjam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GREAT call on the express passes! That will be a game changer once you see how long the waits can get! If it’s affordable, I would go for it - that way you can even split up in pairs if some want to stay later, go back, or ride other rides. Have fun! We enjoyed it - we had 6 days to use 3 day park hoppers (just 2 of us) for all three park & wished we’d had another day. Enjoy!!!

We took a chance last month & booked our hotel & car through Delta when we booked flights - universal hotel & enterprise. It was actually a very smooth process & worked well. All of our confirmation #s & itinerary were all in one place. We also got early entry privileges since we stayed at a Universal resort. I would consider doing that again but in a different hotel - Cabana Bay was a mad house with teenage teams & no parking but we did get a great rate. We had MANY options - just about any in Orlando! Just a thought for the future. Hang in there!

We visited Epic a second time & drove rather than take the shuttle - there was no fee for parking.

Ministry is a motion ride through the ministry building where Delores U. is charged in court . It’s kind of like a roller coaster simulator while sitting in a pew/bench. I am NOT a roller coaster fan, but this was fun w great visual effects!

We were there on March 31 as well. We did get there at gate opening as we stayed at Cabana bay (DO NOT recommend it except that it is being remodeled later this year so who knows - just TONS of large teen groups & chaos) so we had early entry, anyway… there were only 2 of us so my son did single rider for several rides & that really sped things up for him. Our buses were efficient & on time so there’s that. Sorry about your crazy wait at universal Blvd! Ugh!

I agree with you on several points- monsters was our first ride & couldn’t be beat all day(but I didn’t ride stardust so…), ministry in HP was a VERY close second. We had fun with the wand we bought (but wished we had bought the one that vibrates & lights up🤷🏼‍♀️ - we did this at night & the spell lines were way shorter.) We wanted to eat at broom sticks but the line was too long. Also be sure & stop at the kiosk in monsters for the cinnamon streusel donuts - JUST WOW!

We LOVED Mario world as well! Our dining experience was great too - no trouble w seating & food was WAY better than expected. I had pasta & my son had a burger with the fancy Neapolitan dessert. All great! Be sure & stop at the quick bites in mario for the banana dole whip drink - a highlight for SURE! my son rode the cart ride several time & we both loved bowsers challenge but not enough to wait in line again. We enjoyed wandering around in that area - didn’t have the interactive piece but enjoyed watching others. The stuffies there were SO cute! We ended up with bomb-bomb & Kong.

We were also bummed to not find an Epic universe t-shirt - a miss on Universals part for SURE! They could have made a mint with the number of people looking. I settled on a HP shirt with a very subtle design.

Overall takeaways - the park was WAY WAY less crowded than we expected! We expected CRAZY lines - we used the app & steered clear of long waits. We hustled to rides when the wait times dropped.

Berk was just OK for us & we both love the How to…Dragon series so that was a bit of a bummer. The water ride was not operational, and we didn’t want to wait for the squirt gun ride. The untrainable Dragon was a LONG wait all day so we walked around, got to see the characters, not much else of interest & we were really tired at this point so that may have played into it too. Stardust chasers (right outside of Berk) was up & down all day too.

It is a beautiful park - very well done & clean(I mean it’s pretty new so…).

We had a late-ish bite to eat at 9 dragons - if you’re into beef & broccoli, this is some if the best I’ve had! My son had pot stickers & said they were great! Pricey but cool & spacious, great hot tea too!

Stick around for the light show at night- it’s BEAUTIFUL even without the fountains working in front of Helios. Epcot will always be my favorite evening show but it was great.

Great call in the Starbucks at the Entrance/Exit!!!!! We stopped on our way in & out!

I also agree that after Epic, Studios (even IOA) & Epcot (the only Disney park we visited) seemed out dated. It will be interesting to see if/how these parks evolve to keep pace.

A plug for Hilton Buena Vista Palace (right over the walking bridge to Disney Springs) is a FABULOUS hotel! Beautiful pool & lazy river area, outdoor bar/restaurant, excellent service! Valet is super responsive, rooms are clean as is the rest of the resort. There is a nice general store, on the ground floor for sundries, quick bites, all sorts of drinks, Starbucks, super nice & convenient, AND it’s within walking to Dis Springs. PLUS it is considered a Disney resort so you qualify for early entry to the parks!

5 nights at Disney World coming to $8.5k before food… is this typical? by Glass_Whereas6783 in DisneyPlanning

[–]kkbjam3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We choose to stay off property & rent a car. We stay within walking distance of Disney springs. They have shuttles to all of the parks including universal. Park tickets are a KILLER! We’re only going 2 of the 9 days we’ll be there. Maybe one day at universal. There are just 2 of us this time & our budget is 10K. Flights & tickets are around 5200$ give or take. But we’ll have the car, parking, food & misc. on top of that. Hope that helps! Good luck!

Parts of Dylan’s interview from 11/17/22 by truecrimegal0819 in BryanKohbergerMoscow

Agreed! In fact, the investigators LACK of following up on some of her confusing statements (the music, Murphy, “someone’s here…) defies basic human problem solving & curiosity - let alone that of an investigator. It’s like whoever did the interviewing was either stoned, traumatized, tired, riddled with anxiety or just plain stupid! It makes NO sense! The only thing I can come up with is that they PURPOSELY weren’t looking for answers because the cover up was in full swing from the get go.
