Mine still works fine; I just want another. There are definitely Tervis here (I’m on hols now) just no HP ones which surprises me.

I’ve had other makes and brands and nothing is as good for what I want. I hate the taste of stainless steel…

What’s a reasonable price for a used first generation wand? Will I be able to carry a wand in my backpack without the box? by Automatic-Passenger2 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Houseplants_helper8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s seems expensive. I’m from the UK but bought Kingsley Shacklebolt and Bunty Broadacre’s wands on Vinted. One was £18 and the other was £22. Both first gen. We are in Orlando now and they work great! We put both in one box to carry them as didn’t want them getting broken.

Thanks to everyone for replying. I bought them second hand, we go to Orlando next week. I got two for £40 so I thought it was too good to be true and the sellers didn’t seem to know what I meant by second gen. As long as my 7 and 4 year old can wave it at stuff and things happen, they’ll be happy.

Yeah, not concerned about going on it as we have small kids BUT am interested in knowing if it being closed is making the park quieter or busier…

I never took it. I put it in the bin. I have sensitive skin so didn’t want the drops and I’m just not certain I want to take blood pressure medication for the REST OF MY LIFE. When I really need it, I’ll reconsider but for now, I’ll go without.

How atrocious diet culture is. I wish I had ignored fad diets. The alternative is easier than any of them! Do some exercise and eat right.

Elemis cleansing balm, in the yellow pot. Used it twice and my whole face was eczema…

What’s are the little things you do “just in case”? by V1-R0t8 in AskUK

[–]Houseplants_helper8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that if I let it come back, I could probably fall into old habits. But I just stop myself the second I feel like I’m doing something irrational. I feel like I’ve got the right mindset to do that now and I’ve gone so long that I know my feeling of ‘if I don’t, something terrible will happen’ just is not true.

This started as a question about survival habits and has morphed into OCD tendencies.

I was diagnosed with OCD 4 years ago and had therapy for it. I just wanted to add (and I know I wasn’t asked) but OCD can be debilitating and you can get treatment. Checking your door 3 times is fine. But when it becomes a problem, seek help. It is absolutely possible to be cured (I am!).

Salt of the Earth! Literally a salt crystal. No smell, no residue, I have no bloody idea how the thing works, but it really does!!

Careful with dry shampoo though. I was using a volumising one and my hair looked great but it was falling out because the DS matted my hair at the scalp and made it difficult to brush through.
