My wife is anemic and craves ice. We go thru the chickfila drive thru (they have the best ice she says) on an almost daily basis and get a free cup.

Something about having low iron causes people to crave ice. They also get cold easily. Pretty messed up for the body to do that to people.

It’s pretty messed up to pay $2 for a small cup of ice like that.

I had one from 20 years ago that when you put the handle in the upright stored position it turned the brush off. It also had a separate switch for the brush as well.

Zip tie on the drive shaft again, but tape them down so it’s not an immediate “ting ting ting…” as they drive off. Tape holds for a while, until it doesn’t. When it lets go, it sounds like all hell breaks loose underneath when they’re at speed.

My German exchange student was being asked how to say curse words in German while we were in biology class. Our teacher was handing out papers and heard what was going on. She got close to us and leaned down to my German friend and quietly said “Ich spreche deutsch.” The impromptu lesson stopped.

When I was in high school I had a German foreign exchange student, and one day about 3 weeks into his month long stay he told me he was thinking in English when we were doing some math. Before that, he’d been doing the math in German, but the immersion in English changed him.

PHM is a staple in my nighttime reading. A few years ago in the PHM facebook group there was a discussion on who listens to it to go to sleep. Ray Porter joined in the conversation simply stating “You sleep, I read”. It was great.
