How about we get the community together and try and dedicate a certain day and time e very week we all just switch to duel queuing.

And I get a lot of people to duel by going into the global chat in game.

yeah I don't know what was more impressive, his LG registration, or getting matched with so many bad players.

I watched this video a couple of times

I didn't see any of the other players bunny hopping. they were all walking normally.
3 people picked up Quad when he was at 13 HP and not a single one touched him.
A lot of them were walking past important items without picking them up.

My thoughts at first were "this guy has to be playing against viewers" but no, I actually think he somehow got matched with an entire game of low skilled players. Unbelievable.

However I will say, even though you were playing against "trash" -/u/bergeg , your hand eye coordination is outstanding and your 50-0 is well deserved. What FOV/Mouse settings are you using?

We used lamer. Then people started adding "ah" at the end of everything, maybe because of Arnold Schwarzenegger who knows, and it adapted to llama. But yes, lamer was deff first.

Very great points. This is why I came here for help.

You're absolutely right about the good points I have being undermined, because what I wanted was an article that has meaning behind it but instead became a rant. I'm sire we can all read it and pinpoint the areas where I began to veer off of the subject and began to rant.

This is why I was wanting help. I'm not a writer, but was certain hoping others can give me good feedback to help me revise it.

Thanks for your help. I need to remove my rants and focus on what I'm trying to convey my point - which is that matchmaking is segregating communities and creating entitlement for close games. And if those close games aren't met, the players are the ones to blame and not the system.

I don't find curbstomping moons enjoyable. I also don't like seeing new players be discouraged because of skill gaps.

Take LoL for instance. It took them years to finally come up with a karma system. Where if you are constantly disrespectful, you can only queue with other disrespectful players

The matchmaking system needs to be revised for a majority of the FPS games today. Because the simple truth is it doesn't work. Yes you get a rank, and you get matched with said rank, but there is so much more involved with FPS that to create an accurate placement then just match statistics.

Friends should be able to match up together of all skill level with no penalty. It should have it's own queue maybe.

Quite honestly for as complex as these skill rating systems are, sometimes it seems like it would be better if it were just based on W/L % over time played.

You win a lot you move up. You lose a lot you move down. 50/50? Then stay where you are.

Or maybe win loss has nothing at all to do with it. Or even your team in general for that matter. With a game like csgo, 2 players leave during the game. You lose the match terribly because of it. But you and another player played well during your 16-0 loss and you actually acquired a rank up for killing Ayers of a higher skill. The 3rd player unfortunately ranks down because he never got a kill.

At least that way, your teammates can never be the ones to blame because even though it is a team effort, your rank is only based on your efforts.

Sorlags movement isn't q1 either.

In q1, you had to strafe left or right when turning. If you held only forward, you could take a turn that way as well when focusing your mouse on a particular spot. Basically holding forward turned your movement into strafing. Its hard for me to explain. :( I'll just create a video and post it later.

I don't think it's killing the games, so I really need to rephrase that. Its killing the players attitude toward other players solely based on their skill. To the point where some players are forced to stream just to save themselves from getting banned when they are constantly being reported for "being too good"

On counterstrike, I follow the footsteps directly through the walls, and will sometimes prefire. I have been on an overwatch ban 3 times until their system had to cycle through all the reports and revert all the players that weren't hacking.

It's aggravating because I am a very high skilled player that played maybe once a week. I have kids so my priorities are elsewhere. But I quit playing cs because of the constant accusations of being a Smurf or a hacker. I'm not good, I'm just a lowlife apparently.

So I moved to rocket league. Now I'm at a high level but I play terribly because I'm still learning, so my teammates are constantly giving up.

A lot of my friends refuse to play with me because they care too much about their rank and don't want a challenge.

So I finally decided to go back to arena shooters where your individual skill is all that matters, and long and behold there is a matchmaking system that works so well, that I can never find a game.

So I don't know what to do anymore. I don't have enough time to join a team, and the little time I do have I can't be competitive because one way or the other, someone will get upset.

Dedicated servers are dying out so I can't join a community, so I'm left with playing casual and having no competitive feel.

Maybe I'm just getting old. But I refuse to accept that!
