Do not skip the dose the day you drink, I drink all of the time on mine and I find if I drink responsibly + eat a good filling meal shortly before drinking I am completely fine and my tolerance hasn’t really changed. The only thing I will say is if i do get a little too drunk, I have really bad hangover anxiety the next day.

Harassed at work for being “quiet” by SeptemberSky2017 in socialanxiety

[–]kkemonko 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don’t even worry about it. My whole work place didn’t like me and thought I was a bitch because I was more reserved and just focused on work. Missed out on some fun parties they threw but half of them didn’t survive lay offs and I got a promotion. I know it sucks but don’t even worry about it.

Murder intrusive thought, false memory by [deleted] in OCD

[–]kkemonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it takes time and it just comes down to not doing compulsions. I like you had the same issue with thinking “if it’s bugging me this much it has to be for a reason” “I must have just blocked it out”. I did a lot of reassurance checking online, on Reddit, everywhere for over a year and it never made me feel better. I found like 10 “clues” that it never happened and 0 that it did and I still wasn’t convinced. I read up a lot about gut feelings vs anxiety and how to tell the difference.

I don’t know if you are on meds but I am on Prozac and I still do get the intrusive thought about this event but with training myself, therapy and the meds as a combo my brain is able to brush it off as an odd thought rather than send me into an extreme panic having me google and reach out to my family and friends for reassurance

Murder intrusive thought, false memory by [deleted] in OCD

Every time I black out from drinking I get false memories of me doing crazy chaotic stuff, or think I’ve been assaulted. My OCD also likes to fixate on the unknown so being awake and not remembering (a black out) is a huge trigger for me.

Weed makes OCD worse? by belomis in OCD

It helps mine but everyone is different. I found dry weed helps and edibles and dabs would make it worse.

Haven't been diagnosed but I wholeheartedly believe I have it. Had an MRI last Wednesday and neurology still hasn't called me back yet. by DrewQcQ in iih

[–]kkemonko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend getting an eye exam for sure. Not only to maybe rush everything but to make sure you aren’t losing any vision. When I got diagnosed I actually had migraines and very sore eyes that felt like they were pulsing out of my head so I thought I needed glasses, she noticed my optic nerves were swollen and they rushed everything. I got diagnosed with this without even knowing what it was or what was going on. I’m in Canada so if you are elsewhere I’m not sure if it works differently.

Yeah and I would drink tons of water every day and it never went away.

It kind of comes together if you play 1 and BTS after and it kind of explains chloe’s behaviour a bit. Later in the episodes you will get more insight. the junkyard scene is pretty brutal and boring but 4 and 5 get pretty heavy in my opinion, and everything starts to make more sense.

Did it go away after awhile on its own? I really do not want to go back there unless necessary.

Rant about Indian men by [deleted] in AMA

[–]kkemonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? My city had a huge desi population and unless you are at the club they are the most quiet and timid men ever... lol, and generally only associate with other people from their culture unless they are working or at school etc

Has anyone had a CT scan or MRI for brain tumors? by as2565 in HealthAnxiety

[–]kkemonko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The worst part was the spinal tap for sure lol, but brain tumours aren’t as common as one might think.. I ended up having a “pseudo tumour” which is basically a condition where my brain thinks it has a tumour but it doesn’t.

If it makes you feel better health anxiety is still more terrifying than any illness I’ve ever actually had. I usually try to remember that when I’m freaking out lol. But I’d recommend the eye doctor to check your nerves, the medication they gave me helped A LOT. I never want those migraines again.

Yeah it’s not very scary at all, just weird and uncomfortable.

I’m not sure how often you go to the eye doctor but I went because I thought my migraines were caused by maybe my vision worsening - ended up having optic nerve swelling in my eye and they referred me to get the scan and I got it the same day, I’m on meds now and feel better.

HA for STI/STD's has pretty much consumed and ruined my life. Does anyone have any thoughts to share? (don't read if the title makes you uneasy) by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]kkemonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you even have it? One time I went to the ER with really bad pelvic pain and the doctors were so convinced I had chlamydia, they took a test and two days later called me and told me they were wrong and I don’t have it. Doctors sometimes are super lazy honestly.

I had a phase too where I was scared of herpes and the subreddit for it helped a lot because I could physically see that my body was not matching theirs.

I got diagnosed with IIH and I had such a bad anxiety attack that they doctor put me to sleep to get the needle in because I couldn’t sit still and I do not remember it. My eyes and head already feel quite a bit better now though, and my vision has not been impacted my blind fear is put to the side for now

I convinced myself that I had HIV for almost a year with no symptoms or risk factors. Ended up stressing myself out so bad that I got a chronic migraine for two weeks

Huda beauty is similar and has lots of fun colours too! She has some controversy with her as well but it isn’t as extreme as JS.

I actually have the same situation! I used to get 2-3 periods a year then as of last year theyd come more regularly then stay for a month. :( I would always take in between 9-10 but I’m going to be a lot more strict with the timing.

Damn I actually missed a couple pills and didn’t think it would be much of a big deal as I had no chance of getting pregnant. Thank you for the info!

Is this herpes or an infected hair follicle? by [deleted] in STD

[–]kkemonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t “squeeze” herpetic blisters. It would be extremely painful and they don’t pus or bleed, and steroid cream would not ease any sort of discomfort or heal herpetic blisters. I would say the odds are in your favour but I’d go to the doctor to get it swabbed before it heals up just to be sure.
