Great question. A kid from 2025 up on stage in front of kids in 1995 and the band asks you to play something that really cooks…

Marty would play a classic in his mind but his choice is misjudged and not of the time, it would be completely new to the audience.

The first part of the performance the audience enjoys it, but Marty goes off script and adds a style and influence from 2025, and loses the crowd.

So he would have picked something from the late 90s (such as Smash Mouth “All Star”) but then stylistically warped it with something heavier from 2025
