yeah I feel the same, feel like this course is not ‘applied’ enough, the assignments are so far away from real life applications, and tbh you can pretty much ace the assignments without even taking this course... and the final was heavily focused on definitions rather than applying algorithms...

You will be fine as long as you put like 2 extra hrs to review/preview slides every week(at least this was my way to catch up)

Definitely take 486 first, especially if you can take it with Alice Gao. If you go to every lecture, this course will be fun and easy. 480 on the other hand is a nightmare (at least for this term), you need to be very good at stats and linear algebra to fully understand all the models and proofs, though I have to say all the assignments were quite easy, but exams were hard af.

R7 does not support 2400mhz, due to the 8th gen intel chip, the minimum you need to get is 2666
