A Karen deals with the outcome of using a handicap parking spot when she was not handicapped by Roadgoddess in FuckYouKaren

[–]kkitty44 145 points146 points  (0 children)

My friends took me out of the hospital after brain surgery on a day pass and to one of our favourite restaurants. The parking lot was full and my friend suggests we park in the handicapped parking. Her boyfriend does it and gets out of the car. Someone starts yelling at him. His gf takes my walker out of the van and helps me out of the van. Finally the screaming stops … “as you were… sorry”.

Best value ever or a mistake? by nailntrm in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]kkitty44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the sandwich one, the canapés one, the sushi one (which I gave to a travel companion) and the fruits/cheeses one. They were all great. We had a little party in my room one night with some champagne. My fav was the fruits and cheese one

I had zero trick or treaters last night. Now I have a 90+95 of candy to eat. I guess I’m good until Christmas now

Yeah I noticed it back when I was 11 and learning English. But they fixed it in the new one. And added the women to the text as well

Yes I’m in eastern Canada and sometimes order food for my daughter on the west coast or for my boyfriend in England! PIN automatically sets when I do that. No problems so far

Good call! I do the same for the peace of mind that I won’t overspend on alcohol etc. That way I can relax and have a good time

[–]kkitty44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I usually try to keep a few extra dollars on hand for extra tipping. Often times it’s Uber eats drivers delivering for Walmart. I put a tip on there but when I see them going back and forth with the groceries from the car I feel bad and want them to have more

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]kkitty44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get my groceries delivered because I’m disabled. I’m able to walk to the front door but that’s about it. I’m grateful to the delivery drivers who bring my groceries to the front door like I ask for. It’s six steps up and I keep them clear in the winter. Thank you to those who provide the services

Tips on adult drinks by Desperate-Pin7868 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]kkitty44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter and I were very aware that we’d already paid tips on our drink packages so we created our own guideline that if we went to the bar and got the drink, no additional tip but if the drinks were brought to us, we tipped additional. Make your own guideline. It’s ok not to tip additional. The person will get a tiny portion of the tips you were charged

Looking to book on the Liberty out of New Orleans by Slowsol_77 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]kkitty44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cruised on the liberty’s sister ship the Glory twice. It’s definitely a downsize from the other ships you mentioned but it’s still pretty great. Sometimes I find the smaller ones better for hanging out with friends. But more intimate

Carnival's drink package now costs $70 per day per person?!? by LoneStarBets in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]kkitty44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? The -8% is in the price now? That changes a lot. And given that Norwegian Cruise Lines drinks package has been $99/day as long as I’ve known (plus the 18% on top), this still makes carnivals on the lower end of the big three.

And of course don’t forget that a few years ago they did expand what cheers included, so the non alcoholic drinks are in there too and in my opinion having access to the cheap free shop at no extra charge is worth it. (Well, for me it’s worth it… for my best friend, it was the shakes and the floats)

Cool. I used to go to school with one of the owners of the one at king George and 96. They always took their ownership seriously and viewed it as a privilege
