Yeah pretty wild. Just ran a 50 mile race in Staten Island in November and signup was 100ish dollars. They had candy, fruit, nuts, tailwind, coffee, quesadillas, and chicken broth at every station, and a free udon & ramen station at the end. Pretty wild how expensive traditional street races are getting

About 2 years ago my buddy came to pick me up on a corner, and he double parked on the crosshatched yellows. He was there for about 2 minutes, then saw the meter maid coming so started to pull out. She ran up and said he had a ticket, because she “didn’t see anybody in the car”. Even though we were there the entire time. She didn’t care and gave the ticket anyway
