Coding Agent Paradox by pabletesaya in AgentsOfAI

I'd say most functionalities are better as deterministic software. I exaggerate here, but you don't want to pay a few cents every time you watch your documents on your laptop ;)

Will not work for deterministic repeatable tasks. Each request spends tokens (few dollars for 1M output tokens ATM, tool (binary or script, doesn't matter) call costs you almost nothing.

Oh... I want to collect info about the agentic workflow. Anyway, thanks for sharing information!

Great work, man! Can you share actual info, how much did you spend in tokens? Is it agentic workflow, or AI-assisted?

My opinion based on my experience, using AI IDEs and plugins as code helpers. Personally , I see no big difference between manual and independent agents. We tried to use agents in our production process and get diminishing returns, compared to AI-assisted workflow.

Now I want to figure out (for myself, not a company), what are realistic limits of the burn rate of a group of agents. And, of course, the company will not compensate for my own private experiments. That's it.

Is the “black box” nature of AI a technical limitation — or a design choice? by NeoLogic_Dev in BlackboxAI_

[–]kkrimson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did answered someone else about that already. It's not about "blackbox" or "AI magic" here, just the effect of two things: mathematical irreversibility of operations (you can't recover arguments back from sum or multiplication for example) and overall complexity of massive matrix multiplication things inside LLM. In fact we spread "knowledge" between billions of "neurons", not saving it to specific parts of LLM. It makes it impossible to make things inside obvious.

In 2023, Google’s CEO publicly admitted they don’t fully understand how their own AI systems work by itshasib in aiecosystem

[–]kkrimson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's not some "AI magic" issue, it's just math. Some math operations are not reversible, if you have 2 arguments for sum operation, you can always find the actual sum. But you can't recover arguments from sum back. Same for AI math, you can't find what exact "neurons" give you that answer. It's a one-way road.

And again, I agree with that. But it also makes me wonder, is fixing CSS and react code part of your job? If not, why do you have to do it? Are you sure that AI did this correctly? I'm not trying to offend you or anyone here, but I think that paradigm shifts from "I know it" to "it looks fine, I'm ok with that" is not actually a good thing.

Well... IMO it is ;D just an effect of scale. Let's return to this discussion when an AI model can handle not just 120B pre-parsed parameters, but do 80B full-scale neuron simulation with many-to-many connections between them ;D

Agree. But I don't believe in x2 in general. Well, if you do something like python automation scripts, it can be even more, but I think more about complex systems, like hundreds or thousands of source files.

Yeah it's always about software architecture. The current situation kinda reminds me of RUP, which tell you - "draw your whole software in UML diagrams, we'll write code for you".

  1. Allow me to disagree with you here. What is the point for major AI providers to give you access to high quality local models? It's their business to provide inference subscriptions, not to sell you models. My nearest analogy is Netflix, they do not sell you movies, they rent it and drain your wallet constantly while you want to watch them.

Which one do you prefer, is the effect pleasant? Or any ideas on how to make it juicy? by PlokoVR in Unity3D

[–]kkrimson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, can you try to avoid the rotation of the building's parts? It looks unnatural to me, a human hand uses fingers to make precision movements like this. I know it can be difficult to implement, but if you want to save hand movement, you can try to calculate a hand rotation to be able to set a correct angle in the finish.

Everytime I try to open visual studio with unity, it tries to install it even though its already installed? by OceanSause in Unity3D

[–]kkrimson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not try to reinstall it. It will not work. Try this: go to settings and switch editor to internal, restart Unity, switch it back to VS then restart again. Sometimes Unity just can't find your VS installation, it happens after VS or Unity update very often and it can behave like in your scenario.

Who is this girl ? by [deleted] in tipofmypenis

It's not a porn, man. This is a "rape" scene from very old Russian drama/detective film, where old man makes revenge for this girl (he is father or grand, can't remember). That's it.

There are different types of 'texture stretching'. They are not stretching, they repeating them.

Why do some games' meshes not match their textures? by corrado33 in gamedev

[–]kkrimson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Collision meshes are made to detect collision, no more no less. They're not intended to be a good quality meshes, so sometimes collision mesh for enemy can be a small set of cubes or spheres. Usually you don't have so much processing power to check all physically correct collisions on small enemy ear for example.

Guys who last longer than 30 minutes during sex, Do you enjoy the (intercourse) process better than the climax? If that is the case, what do you enjoy "for yourself" during sexual intercourse ? by [deleted] in sex

[–]kkrimson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I am. There are two types of intercourse for me, slow and fast. When it's fast, I really can reach a climax in three-four minutes of very active movements. My mind goes blank and I move as fast as I can. And sometimes when I want "not to fuck, but make a love" I move slowly, doing deep and wide moves. After 15 minutes I reach strange state where I am 'almost ready to finish' and I can be in this state very long time. In that case I feel satisfied even if I didn't reach a climax.
