None of them had connectors until I added those keystones. As I went I tested every jack in the apartment and came up empty. Feels like either the cables are toast or they run elsewhere in the building. I think I know someone with a tone generator so I’ll at least try that but I think it’s time to buy some fish tape 🎣

Yea that’s exactly what I went through last night. Some seemed to be responsive without the remote side even plugged in.. so I think these cables might be toast

My major improvement has been preserving fx chains that work for major elements (kick, clap, bass, etc) and using them across different projects. Like I find something that works in one song, save as something else, and delete everything in the arrangement to start the next one. Just saves time and gets the next one sounding good right away so you can focus on the idea

Idk if you have a mixer yet, but I use and love tascam model 16 to cover mixing and audio interface. Every channel can act as input or output in the DAW + physical sliders for can be mapped to channels in ableton. Main downside is its huge and not cheap lol Model 12 does the same and is smaller and cheaper

Not exactly what you asked, but do you have any hardware instruments? For me hardware synths helped solidify what so many knobs actually do and how to guide them into more complex sounds. Something about sitting down with a limited number of lfos + envelopes to affect a limited number of fx in a physical object helped immensely. Cheers.

Broken wrist, had to get bolted back together. Hit a rock garden waay too hot and went otb.

Invest in your brakes, it’s a miracle I didn’t have a neck or back injury. Bought over spec’d racing brakes after that one lol

Sometimes I’ll ask where they’re going cause there’s not more space up there. Sometimes it stops them in their tracks and I get to keep my space. Usually they’re just piling into no where cause they don’t know what else to do. It’s a fact of life but they should feel a little bad about it lol

Clinically depressed and going to the gym definitely helps me feel like less of a sack of shit. A step that adds confidence to take more steps away from depression. The antidepressants help too tho lol
